Chapitre 2549: Interlude ram & rem

Ran sighed; it seemed like she had been doing that much more for the past few months. Her Master had grown increasingly short of temper and had taken to sequestering herself inside her room for hours or even days at end.

It was even worse when she left, growing snappish and irritable; she had taken to requesting esoteric tomes as well as a few Outside World books. That was the reason Ran was striding down the streets of the Human Village, tracing the path to Suzunaan.

Her perfect memory and near-perfect form would have allowed her to enter the shop within a few minutes of entering the town. It, however, paid dividends to take her time and be polite to the humans she crossed paths with, and so long as it took a small amount of helping them was not out of the question either. That meant as she traveled, she assisted in determining the weather for tomorrow and floating a few groceries for an older man as they both walked in the same direction for a bit and a dozen other small minute tasks.

She was the Shikigami of the enigmatic Yukari Yakumo, the Gap Youkai, as well as a dozen other epithets, with quite a few being much more unflattering. So while she served a far-off frightening figure, Ran Yakumo was the slightly overworked and unfailing polite servant who served her Master's will but was willing to spare a moment to assist somebody in need.

Stepping inside the bookstore, Ran saw Kosuzu Motoori, the human who worked there. Although her stride remained unbroken, Ran cast her senses, both mundane and magical, over the young girl when they came back negative for any abnormalities; she allowed her smile to relax into a more genuine one.

The young girl's eyes snapped up to the Kitsune that had entered the shop. She then scrambled under the counter before retrieving a few books of various sizes and thicknesses. The largest was a massive tome that took both of her hands and copious amounts of struggling, while the smallest was little more than a pamphlet.

Picking them up, Ran looked over the covers, and seeing that they were what she requested, she carefully called upon her Master's power and opened hundreds of tiny holes in the boundary that separated atoms from the vast expanse between them, she then linked them into what was commonly known as her Master's Gap.

Placing the book within the empty space, she closed it before turning back to Kosuzu. "Thank you," she said as she retrieved the required amount of money.

As the young girl quickly counted the money, Ran gave a polite bow, "Have a good day," she said before turning around and leaving, hearing the faint goodbye.

Closing the door behind her, Ran continued her walk around the village. This time, however, she was retrieving groceries and not magical tomes.

Weaving through the masses, she traveled to various butchers, farmers, and, in one case, a small stand selling sweets. In each exchange, Ran stayed longer than strictly necessary and ensured that she made small talk.

It served two purposes, to reinforce their opinion of her. However, even better were the relaxing conversations; while she was a nearly tireless being, able to think twelve steps ahead, it was sometimes nice to slow down and enjoy a talk with the common folk.

Soon enough, however, she had to move on and return to her Master's domain and provide whatever assistance she required. Calling upon another sliver of her strength, she stepped through two gaps in quick secession arriving on the outskirts of Yukari's home.

While usually quite tricky to access, using her Master's gaps, she could easily transport herself on the outskirts of the abandoned town, completely bypassing the need to get lost, which was near impossible for a being like herself.

Walking into a house, she carefully shut the door behind her before flicking on the light switch. Her Master was one of the only people in Gensokyo with access to modern amenities, including benefits such as lightbulbs and refrigeration.

Walking over to the kitchen, she retrieved the goods she had purchased and, with care and precision, placed them in the refrigerator, setting aside the few candies she had purchased.

While her task of monitoring the group of Youkai that frequented the young Mystia's stand was often more play than work, she still delivered a concise report every night, and providing she did the same after dinner, a small treat was in order.

Pulling out the special ingredients that lay in the back of the fridge, she decided to cook a Western dinner tonight. Carrying the meat outside, she conjured a small ball of fire under the grill. She then grabbed an apron and got to work after putting it on.

Carfely seasoning the meats, she pulled them from the grill when they were still rare. Lifting one up to her nose, she felt her stomach gurgle as the stench of the bloody meat invaded her nose.

Placing it down on a plate, she two by two carried the food inside and placed them down on the table. She then retrieved greens and went back outside to grill them as well.

Soon joining the dripping red meat was grilled asparagus and butter. Pulling out the cutlery, Ran set out knives and forks before pulling out one of the bottles of Lunar Sake her Master had secreted away.

While not quite as good as the ones from the moon due to the lack of challenge and theft that went into acquiring these bottles, they were still incredible and, combined with the excellent meal, would hopefully help to lift her Master out of the funk she was in.

Hearing the sound of feet scrambling outside, she waited for a few moments as Chen burst in before slamming the door shut behind her. "We are having dinner soon; get cleaned up," Ran said, broking no disobedience.

With a sigh and the knowledge that her master would not allow her at the table until she was cleaned, Chen scampered off toward the bathroom.

Smiling softly at the young youkai Ran took off the apron and, after smoothing out her dress, walked over to her Master's room. Knocking politely on the door, she spoke loudly and clearly through the door.

"Master, I have dinner prepared!" Resting her hands inside the other arm's sleeve, she leaned back on her heels and waited. Hearing a loud groan and shuffling sounds from inside, Ran continued to wait.

b

A few minutes later, Yukari emerged from her room, hair mussed and with deep bags under her eyes, still blinking blearily. Guiding her to the seat at the head of the table, Ran poured her Master a glass of Lunar sake before pouring herself and Chen a glass of water.

Chen came scrambling back in; however, she slowed down once she saw the slumped form of Yukari with both hands clasped around the glass of sake.

Walking at a much more sedate pace, Chen pulled out her chair and sat down, followed by Ran sitting down as well. They both turned to face the master of the house and after a few moments, Yukari started eating, followed by the other two began to eat as well.

With each bit of the rare meat, Yukari woke up, and the bags under her eyes faded as she looked around with more awareness.

"This is quite good; what is the special occasion?" Yukari asked as she placed her knife and fork on top of the plate. Swallowing her own mouthful of food, Ran replied.

"You have been looking increasingly haggard, Master, so I thought you could use something invigorating, given you refuse my help." She said, a bit of snide anger slipping into the end of the sentence.

Sighing, Yukari waved her off, "We are not having a repeat of this argument, I trust you with a vast many things, but this is something only I can handle," She said with a weary tone.

Biting down to a response, Ran simply nodded in acceptance as Chen looked back and forth between the two women. "Chen," Ran said, "I believe you have a report for me?" She asked, obviously moving on from the prior conversation.

Clearing her throat, Chen's eyes firmed as the nascent programming installed in her rose to the forefront. The wiggling and other small movements that were a staple of young beings, both human and youkai, stilled with only minute twitches remaining.

However, despite all those changes, she spoke energetically, "I have been hanging around Mystia's stand and watching the new youkai Komainu. She had showed up a few months ago with no shrines or other statue that would create a Komainu."

"Despite that," She continued as Yukari looked up with interest and no small amount of shock, "she has been remarkably stable and content with exploring and traveling in contrast to most other Komainu; she then disappeared around a month ago and repapered recently, both before and after her dissonance she had talked about a master she would find and serve however recently that has changed to a brother.

"This master she wanted to find has likely inducted her into a family of sorts. As of now, she has been hanging around with the others at Mystia's stand. However, it seems that she has been left behind from something important and is disappointed because of it."

As she finished, her straight back and unusually stillness faded away. Looking up at Ran, she waited in an unspoken request for approval. Smiling warmly, Ran rubbed the young youkai's head, "You did quite well; I think that a treat is in order," She said as she stood up and retrieved the few chocolates she had purchased earlier in the day.

At this, Yukari finally broke out of her shock and looked up at Ran, "When did you have Chen running errands?" She asked, confused at how she had missed something so big as the young shikigami being sent out on her first official mission.

"With you being so busy and that resulting in fewer orders, I decided that starting her on some basic tasks would be a good way to spend my time," Ran said as she started to clean up the table, walking over to the sink and washing off the dishes before placing them in the dishwasher.

While she finished cleaning the table, both Chen and Yukari were eating the chocolates she had bought earlier in the day. While Yukari had eaten the whole thing in a single bite, Chen was nibbling on the edges while taking some time to inspect it every few bites.

After a few minutes of silence, only broken up by the sounds of plates clinking and water running, Yukari groaned. "Fine, fine I suppose I can show you what's keeping me up," She said as she stood up and wiped off her dress.

While almost impossible to notice, Ran's mouth tilted into a small smile as she calmly placed the dishes away and started the dishwasher. Smoothing her face into its normally vaguely pleasant look, she walked next to her Master and waited for her to take the lead.

Leaving behind Chen, they entered Yukari's room, which was usually quite clean despite a bit of clutter that accumulated over many centuries of living; now, however, it was filled with papers that were filled with scribbles. However, what took center stage was the massive tome on the bedside.

Walking over, Ran's eyes winded as she saw the title as even without actively looking, she could see the magic this tome held. The night passed quickly as Yukari unloaded everything. However, unlike most times when Ran was told by her Master, it was clear-cut, and her frustration was evident.

Remilia smiled; it seemed like she had been doing that more and more often in the past few days. Slumped on her throne, her legs were kicked over one arm while her head used the other as a pillow.

It was an utterly undignified pose for somebody of her rank to be in; however, nobody was watching, and one of the many benefits that Gensokyo held was that nobility was a rarity.

Letting her eyes unfocus, her left hand raised and started plucking at the vibrant red strings that danced and swung in front of her.

It wasn't quite a job, but after the peace talks, she had been pulled aside and requested she aids in the preservation of Gensokyo in exchange for more livestock. Given that it took a bare few hours every week or so and allowed a greater quantity of blood in her meals, she saw no reason to refuse.

A few twitches here and there changed the fate of an outsider who once would have fled this realm and attempted to spread word of what resided here. Now instead of waking up a scant few minutes from the village, he would awaken in the blood-red roses that made up a portion of the Scarlet Devil Mansion's garden, normally this would be very difficult, but the barrier allowed for a much easier change in people's fate as it would be changed by merely entering the Land of Fantasy.

Feeling a pounding that signified the start of a headache, Remila relaxed and let the Strings of Fate fade away as she slumped back down. Lazily casting her gaze around the room, her eyes landed on the slightly smaller throne that lay right next to hers, and her smile faded slightly.

This room was almost never in use, even when she saw nobles back in the outside world which is why small indulgences like an entire throne for her sister could be permitted, even if Flandre would be repulsed by the idea of sitting still and listing to people drone on for hours.

Her smile returned as she thought back to how good Gensokyo was for Flandre. In the outside world, she had been unstable and only growing more so over the years. She would frequently lash out, and even with everybody helping, putting down her sister would be almost impossible, not to mention she knew that even if she won, nothing would ever be the same.

However, once they arrived in the Land of Fantasy, she had calmed down; while still rambunctious and a bit careless around the fairy maids, there was none of the building-destroying madness that had gripped her.

Patchouli had half a dozen theories and had spent an entire afternoon trying to explain why the lack of magic outside, combined with Flandre's botched strain of vampirism, resulted in instability. Still, Remila didn't care so long as her sister was better.

If somebody had told her that a human would help her sister, she would likely have laughed them off before sending them to the kitchen for the insult; however, it was true.

Maria's frantic, high-paced combat style combined with her reckless abandon and Flandre's renewed sanity allowed them to fight in high-speed engagments that allowed Flandre to burn off her excess energy.

The newcomer was also a possible help as, despite all the changes Flandre had gone through, her power wanted to be used, and crushing only the occasional fairy maid had her slightly antsy even with trips to destroy trees or sub-sapient youkai.

However, he seemed able to recover from her destroying him, which could help, and, moving away from her sister; he managed to drag Patchouli outside for the first time in years.

As much as she loved her dear friend, there was no denying that she was a recluse who would go months without eating, sleeping, or stepping outside her library and, in one extreme case, getting up from her chair.

She had also returned with a fervor that reminded Remilia of her younger years when she had just come to reside in her domain. There was a slight concern about the light that had blossomed behind her gaze; however, it was fading, and after a quick peak at her strings, it seemed that it would have no long-term effects that she could see.

In fact, she had been talking about things such as nuclear fusion, and while Remilia wasn't the most well-read, she did know if you wanted something nuclear, you spoke to Satori and her pets.

Humming, she kicked her legs back and forth as her mind wandered about thinking how she could have a talk with the reclusive youkai.

Honestly, the best way was likely through her sister Koishi; she and Flandre were friends and would occasionally head out and play around Gensokyo. That did run into the issue that Koishi was quite unpredictable, and there was a good chance she would forget or simply not pass on the message.

Heading underground without a good reason was also likely to cause issues, and while she could weather consequences, it would be a pain.

Sitting up in a quick motion, Remila remembered an older technique that she hadn't used since leaving the outside world. Holding out a hand, she split it into a few bats.

Calling back all but one of the bats, she remade her hand using a chunk of energy to make up for the lost portion that stayed a bat. Feeling a faint thirst tickling the back of her throat, she was reminded why she didn't use it this often.

In the outside world, it was easy to acquire a few humans that wouldn't be missed, and even approaching the late 1900s, being rich allowed for strange quirks that were similar to the ones allowed to nobility.

That meant she could use her powers freely as any spent blood could be replaced by enticing any number of vagrants into her manor. The blood would be slightly foul, but it was better than going hungry.

She chuckled slightly as she thought over the blood and meat she had eaten in the outside world compared to her palet. If any of the folk who knew her as the Scarlet Devil saw her now, they would claim that she had gone soft, and while she would gut anybody bold enough to make the claim, there was a kernel of truth in that claim.

Shaking aside those thoughts, she daintily hopped off her throne and walked through her halls. A little over thirty seconds later, she arrived in her study containing all the supplies needed to run her demise.

Retrieving a piece of paper and pen, she took her time to pen a letter to Satori. It was fairly simple in that it requested the assistance of her pet Utsoho Reiuji in Patchouli's experiment. It did clarify that her aid was strictly in the form of knowledge and not physical or spiritual examinations.

Blowing on the paper in a habit from long ago, Remilia reread her letter, ensuring everything was spelled properly and the handwriting was perfect.

Happy with the letter, she grabbed an envelope and placed the paper inside before sealing it. Remilia then handed it off to her bat and directed it towards the entrance underground.

She blinked and shook her head as a portion of her vision was traveling away from the manor and underground. It was distracting and another reason why she didn't use this aspect of her power often.

Keeping a fraction of her focus on the bat, she strode towards the Volie Library to check in on her friend. Arriving in front of the massive doors, she pushed them open easily, heedless of the spells that ensured that the door could not be breached by anything less than siege weaponry.

Inside the library was a site unlike any Remilia had seen before in her friend. Inside the carefully maintained library was pandamonium; rushing back and forth was half a dozen Koakuma's grabbing books and magical materials.

In the midst of this chaos was Patchouli, who had dozens of books open and was flipping through them as she muttered arcane words, and a sun bloomed into being above her head.

Frowning as her skin started to smoke much faster than normal and a tingle of knowledge caressed her brain, Remilia cleared her throat and caught Patchouli's gaze. She absent-mindedly noticed that her normal purple iris' had flecks of gold burning like the sun resting in it.

With a flick of Patchouli's wrist, the sun vanished, and Remilia stopped smoking as her sunburns slowly healed. "I must ask," Remilia said as she approached the table and sat in one of the empty chairs.

"What exactly has got you in such a tizzy?" For a moment, Remilia thought that Patchouli would ignore her; however, her attention snapped back to the diminutive vampire.

"You don't understand what happened," she said breathlessly as she tried to speak faster than her newly healed lungs could keep up.

"He almost created a god, and I'm talking about a simple god from a tiny village. This was something that could have been on the level of Huitzilopochtli. I might have supplied the battery, but whatever he did could have risen into the sky as a god if it was fed more energy."

Standing up, full of energy that would have made the Patchouli of just a few weeks ago jealous, she started pacing back and forth. "That's not even touching on his other achievements; that home of his is a pocket dimension, I saw multiple duplicates of him, and in the back, he had a field of purity almost identical to the one of the moon!" She shouted before slowing down and facing Remilia again.

"If you could invite him over, I would like to pick his mind, please," She said, putting in a visible effort to be polite to her oldest friend. However, it was quite clear that this was not a simple request. Slightly nervous, Remilia nodded in acceptance. When Patchouli got like this, it was better to agree to her demands and leave as soon as possible.

"I do believe I'll leave you to your work," Remilia said, sliding off the chair, receiving little more than a grunt in response. Quickly leaving the room, she sighed as she shut the massive doors behind her.

Shaking her head, she left the library behind and headed towards the maid quarters in search of Sakuya. No matter how many times she had attempted to give her a better room, the silver-haired maid had refused.

Remilia had chalked it up as a simple quirk of hers and moved on; it didn't stop her from attempting the same every few decades, but each time she had refused, and it had turned into an amusing joke between them.

Arriving to the sounds of cleaning, the tiny vampire stopped and cocked an ear toward the closed doors. Her enhanced ears caught the sounds of fairies by the dozens cleaning and the much more sedate sounds of a single human's heartbeat.

Walking over to the door where the human heartbeat was, she opened the door and stepped inside. Inside she saw something she thought was impossible, her fairy maids were doing work beyond tending to their own food and clothing.

Admittedly, it wasn't much of a step up as they were cleaning the room they slept in, and it was under the watchful eye of Sakuya, who was standing in the middle of the room twirling a silver-plated knife between her fingers as she observed the going on.

Bowing when she spotted Remilia, the time-stopping maid spoke, "Mistress," then she stood back up and tucked the knife away, waiting for orders.

"Sakuya, we will have another outsider arrive in the rose bushes within the next week," she said; while it wasn't necessary to inform Sakuya, it did ease the process of inducting a new person if they woke up inside the manor as apposed to the panicking that would result from them being forcible brought indoors.

"Of course, Mistress," Sakuya replied with another bow; her eyes lost focus as she started planning the methods she would use to ensure minimal conflict as the new human was settled in.

Turning around, Remilia went to leave but was stopped when one of the absent-minded fairies flew directly in front of her, heedless of the mistress of the manor and her employer.

Walking on as if nothing had happened, Remilia exited the room and smirked as the second the door was shut behind her. She heard the sounds of knives slamming into wood and a fairy being slain. While excellent for the atmosphere, the fairy maids were not smart, and it took quite a bit of reinforcement to ensure the most basic of principles stuck.

Remilia then yawned as she felt an acute tiredness sweep over her. It must be sunup, meaning it was time for her to go to bed. Slowly walking back to her room, Remilia entered and closed the ornate double doors behind her.

Ensuring that the drapes were firmly covered, she carefully got out of her fancy dress and folded it over a chair that was tucked into a desk residing in the corner of her room. She then put on a simple sleeping robe and crawled into the massive four-poster bed that took up the center of her room.

The combined factors of fate-weaving, bat-based communication, and her innate sleepiness come sunrise quickly swept her away into the waiting arms of sleep.

Remiu frowned as she stopped sweeping and looked off into the distance. She was getting tingles running up and down her arms, a sign that an incident was brewing.

It wasn't as clear cut as a simple gut feeling, as the Hakurei shrine maiden she was in tune with Gensokyo, and while that didn't do much most of the time, it did mean that when something that would cause instability rose, she could rely on that feeling to find the person behind the whole mess.

Returning to her sweeping, she cast her mind over to who could be the cause of the next Incident. The biggest group likely to cause an Incident was the Moryia Shrine which had caused a bulk of issues since they arrived and would likely cause more going forward.

You also had Remilia Scarlet, who was always looking for something new, and while she hadn't caused any Incidents in a while, she had happily joined in a few and sent her maid to solve a few others.

The newcomer was also a big contender because of how new he was. It might be a slight bias, but every time a new powerful person arrived, they caused an Incident. You could just look at Remilia and the Moryia Shrine, both powerful newcomers, and both caused an Incident.

Standing back, she looked at the pile of leaves she had swept into the corner of the shrine. To be honest, there weren't a ton of leaves, but it was better to look like she was doing things than sitting around all the time; after all, you never knew when you would get worshippers.

Waiting a moment to see if a band of worshippers would show up, Remiu shrugged when she didn't hear anybody walking up the steps.

Walking inside her house and shrine proper, she retrieved a bottle of sake she had secreted away when Aidan had been cleaning up. She then grabbed a slice of fish she had purchased the other day.

Cooking up the fish, she relaxed as the warm scents wafted past her nose. Pulling fish out of the pan, she placed it on a plate and opened the bottle of sake.

Sitting down on the ground, her legs crossed under her, she started to eat. The fish was slightly burnt due to her inexperience with cooking it, but the fact she had an entire fish to herself was good enough experience as is.

While she hadn't received any donations since Aidan's, that amount of money was enough to eat well for a few weeks, and this fish was the start of those few good weeks.

It also helped that she had managed to grab a few bottles of sake, as not having to buy good drinks helped save money. Taking a sip from the bottle, she let it roll over her tongue as she closed her eyes and enjoyed it.

It tasted quite similar to the Lunar Sake that Yukari had stolen a while ago, which only put another tally on the newcomer causing problems tab. The Lunarians were, for the most part, troublemakers that looked down their noses on their earthly counterparts.

That meant Aidan had either stolen or made the sake himself, either of which could cause problems. If it was the first, they could send people after him because he broke in, and it would fall to her to prevent any mass destruction.

The second might be even worse because that meant he had learned how some of their technology worked, and despite her vast power, Remiu did not want to face it.

However, what was most likely was that he was a god from there who decided to descend into Gensokyo for some reason. She could sense his divinity, which was quite powerful for what she presumed to be a new god.

Remiu didn't know what kind of god he was, but if she had to be, she would say something about magic or purity, given his apparent connection to the moon.

Shaking her head, she pushed aside all thoughts of suspicious newcomers or possible incidents and refocused on her meal. Eating another bite, she relaxed and allowed her shoulder to slump forward as the fish broke down in her mouth. That was then followed up by another sip of sake.

This process repeated itself for several minutes before Remiu heard the telltale sound of Marisa speeding in and landing in the courtyard.

"Heya!" Marisa's loud, energetic voice shouted out as her footsteps approached the entrance to the shrine. Sighing, Remiu cut a portion of her fish off and set it to the side of the plate, already anticipating that the witch would want some of it.

Marisa then strutted in, her broom clasped in her right hand. Setting it down, she sat across from Remiu and, seeing the separate portion of fish, scooped it up with her bare hands and snapped it up in one bite.

"Ya know me so well," Marisa grinned after swallowing the food. "Sides' this is the good stuff. How'd you get it? I thought you spent that last donation on the new broom."

Her hands twitched slightly from the jab at her poor financial state she gave a reply. "If you must know, I received a fairly large donation from somebody who truly appreciated my services." The statement wasn't a complete lie but did omit the fact that Aidan had donated because he believed it to be a customary thing you do at shrines and not for Remiu's services.

Marisa's smile widened as she leaned back and chuckled while waving her hand. "If ya say so, anyway, you mind if I shack up here for a bit?" She asked, the mirth not fading from her voice even as her fingers wiggled a little from apparent nerves.

Shooting her a dry look, Remiu asked, "Why exactly do you need to stay here? You have a perfectly nice house in the forest." In response to the question, Marisa chuckled embarrassedly as she rubbed the back of her neck and looked away from Remiu.

"Well, ya see, I didn't want to wait for my mushrooms to dry; it always takes a few days, and I spent a lot on the last Incident." She bemoaned before continuing. "So I thought I'd borrow a spell from Patchy's book and speed up the process."

Already knowing where this was going, Remiu groaned and put her head in her hands. While extremely powerful and a competent magician, Marisa's urge to experiment would often outrun her common sense and result in the experiment blowing up her face.

"So let me guess, something happened, and your house is unlivable for now?" Remiu asked, prompting another nervous chuckle. "Well turns out it was in a language I couldn't read. Course, the pictures helped a ton, so I went ahead and cast it. Unfortunately turned out that I must have overpowered it a smidge so my roof burned off."

Blinking incredulously, Remiu spoke, "How did we go from drying mushrooms faster to you burning off your roof? Also, don't you have magical protections on your house?"

Nodding proudly in response to the latter part of the comment, Marisa took a moment to steal a swig of Remiu's sake before replying. "Well turns out it was less fire and more sun magic, and for whatever reason, the sun is overcharged right now, add those together, and you get my roof burning down."

Rubbing the bridge of her nose Remiu decided to tackle the sun comment for now. "What do you mean that sun is overcharged, and will that cause any problems." This sounded like an Incident in the making, which meant that she would have to deal with it even though the last one had just been stopped a few days ago

Shrugging, Marisa snagged another piece of fish before chomping loudly on it. "Anyway, you think I can stay here for the night? I already got some kappa working on the roof." Sighing, Remiu nodded as she pushed aside the thoughts of a possible Incident; if something started, she would stop whoever wanted to disrupt Gensokyo.

"I suppose I can show you to your room, same rules as the last time you crashed, and no experimenting with sun magic. I would rather not have to fix my shrine."

Smiling broadly, Marisa stood up, "Course not, sides. I'm out of fuel for the Hakkero after using it earlier." She then bounded off towards the small room set aside for guests. It didn't often host people, but it would suffice for a single night.

Looking back at her food, Remiu noticed that Marisa had swiped another piece of fish while standing up. Shaking her head, she cut off another piece and continued her dinner and night, ignoring her new and loud houseguest as she got settled in.
