a monster... that's what he was. that's what he will continue to be. some might think him as heartless, and in a sense they are 100 percent right. even as a child, he was stronger than most adults.
as he reached his teen years he was already hunting beast, and hunters alike. to him he always thought of survival first, people last.
so in this world it functioned the same. the weak were pushed around. and the strong ruled.
him and his recently kidnapped apreintence prowled the night. him? he used his hunters set, and he let his apprentice use Maria's, and thankfully the clothes were automatically altered for her size.
groups of villains were disappearing left and right at night, and at first no one knew what was happening. at least until they appeared later with the hunter of hunters mark on them.
the scary part? the villains didn't even get to use their quirks before their death. nobody even witnessed them... and that was the scariest part...
...
"2 orders of number 4" nagant said as she was delivering some plates to their customers.
"got it" the hunter said as he delivered the order.
the diner originally didn't have much customers as it was mainly a front for their criminal activities. but now that it has "new" owners it was doing swimmingly. in all honesty... the hunter was having fun.
he was hunter first... but if he wasn't, then he definitely would have continued like this. his mother was watching over him fondly. she was very clearly interested in his apprentice... how? who knows.
great ones are weird like that.
mother had also allowed the doll physical form, and with me here she was able to stay in the waking world. she found enjoyment in taking orders, nagant delivered the food, and the hunter cooked.
"hey did you hear about the new vigilante going about?" one of the customers began saying.
the man shivered as he thought about it.
"yeah. man its so creepy. I mean sure, they are helping. but I mean seriously I woke up to a murder in the back of my apartment," the man said.
"but why kill the villains though? cant they restrain them and wait for the police?" a teen asked.
"who knows. Ive always been saying vigilantes were coco in the head. I mean, I get killing in self defence, but to actively kill people?" another customer.
to this a woman sneered.
"I'm glad this is happening. I mean its about damn time. do you know how many villian attacks are at night? alot. and its not like the heros are helping. at least the new vigilante is going to make the heros more active," she said as she drank her coffee.
the hunter just hummed as he listened to the scuffle the customers got into. never entering into them himself though, as that would be stupid. after all... he was a cook...
...
The hunter was stalking his prey from a building. His apprentice was next to him. Their equipment let them stalk the villains without being seen.
His apprentice had informed him of an important deal going on, so as the good hunter he was, he just had to join.
"So the boss has finished making those?" One of the guys said. He continued to glance over his shoulder, and around the corner to make sure he wasnt being overhead.
"Yeah. At least from what I heard-"
The hunter knew it was drugs and was going to let them leave, but one fact kept him from doing so.
He smelt blood... Little girls blood.
The hunter dropped down and snatched the drug and inspected it. And his findings were true.
The hunter smelt the blood and he could feel the trauma. He was able to trace it back almost to the exact building to.
"Hey what do you think you doi-"
*Slit*
The hunters blade flashed as the man's throat was slit.
Boiling hot rage coursed through the good hunter. He had once failed helping a little girl. This time he will not.
Thr other cannon fodder wasn't any better. The good hunter dragged the man's body and used the still warm blood to draw his signature mark
Your next.
The blood wrote.
"Why do you use blood," nagant asked as she landed on the floor next to the good hunter.
The good hunter smiled but the anger in his eyes didn't fade and put a finger to his lips.
"Blood tells a story apprentice. You'll be surprised what the blood can tell you if you just close your eyes and listen," the good hunter said smiling.
"And what is the blood telling you to do now?" Nagant asked as she rolled her eyes.
"We have a man to hunt,"
...
The hunter dashed forward, he had always been quick on his feet but he raised his hands above his head.
He pulled the power of a small star and it exploded and completely destroyed the barrier that the man had put up to protect themselves.
The man who put up the barrier had died on impact with a call beyond.
The good hunter was smiling under his mask. He was exchanging blows with a man. Fist met fist, but his fist never met the good hunter.
The good hunter felt his apprentice disposing of the underlings, and he felt the man he was looking for would soon arrive.
"I have to cut this short," the good hunter said.
The good hunter grabbed the man's neck, and ripped out his jugular.
This much gore wasn't much, the good hunter had a special way with dealing with pigs....
The good hunter looked through the walls to the soul of his apprentice and the small girl she rescued.
"Time for ??? To join the hunt," the good hunter said as he exchanged the blades of mercy for the burial scythe.
