"I wanted to hurt him." Gracie continued, glaring straight at Dante. "That was why. That was why I went out of my way to make sure to hurt him beyond redemption, but Karen got in the way." She looked down briefly and when she looked up again, a fire seem to come on in it.

"I should have been the one to love you, Dante. You were supposed to be the one for me and me alone." She snared, then suddenly laughed dryly.

Turning her gaze back his father, she spoke with so much venom, "Then suddenly, he got a mate and he wanted to be a good boy. He forgot all I did for him. He woudl have gladly killed me for his mate just to feel good about himself. How could I now sit back and watch him be happy?" She was becoming delirious the more she spoke.
