Chapitre 61: Deformed in Body and Spirit

Danzo's monstrous form loomed over Hayashi, a grotesque fusion of flesh and eyes. The dark chakra of the Reibi surged through his veins, amplifying the power of his Sharingan.

But Hayashi didn't flinch, his gaze sharp and focused. He could sense the intense chakra radiating from Danzo's distorted body.

"You think this changes anything?" he asked, his voice steady.

Danzo let out a guttural roar and charged at Hayashi, his twisted limbs thrashing wildly. But Hayashi was prepared.

He predicted every shift in Danzo's movements, allowing him to evade the incoming attack.

Sidestepping the assault, he created distance between them. Danzo, fueled by frustration, grabbed a nearby boulder and crushed it in his hands.

He threw the remnants at Hayashi, but the young shinobi's arm and sword turned black as he deflected the debris with his swords.

Seizing the opening, he raised his sword high and brought it down in a lightning-fast slash.

Danzo's eyes widened with fear as the flying slash sliced through his mutated flesh, bisecting him.

Blood and entrails spilled onto the ground as his two halves fell apart.

And with that, Danzo lost another life.

----------

Meanwhile, Zabuza and the others turned their attention to the unconscious Root shinobi.

Suigetsu grinned, seeing them defenseless. "Well, well, looks like we've got some easy pickings," he said, grabbing his sword.

Zabuza shot him a look. "Don't get cocky. These are Danzo's elite."

Suigetsu laughed. "Elite? More like elite cannon fodder! Watch and learn, Zabuza. I'll show you how it's done."

The Root shinobi, still groggy from Hayashi's pressure, were no match for Suigetsu's speed and strength.

Limbs flew and blood sprayed as he carved a path of destruction through their ranks.

Jugo and Haku joined the fray, their unique abilities making short work of the remaining Root forces.

Jugo's monstrous strength sent bodies flying, bones shattering upon impact.

Haku's ice mirrors trapped and impaled his victims, their screams echoing through the chamber as they were skewered by countless icy spikes.

Zabuza watched the carnage with a critical eye, his own sword at the ready. But he knew that the real battle was between Hayashi and Danzo.

Danzo's attacks grew more desperate and erratic as the fight wore on. He summoned forth gigantic wooden tendrils from his arm, hoping to trap Hayashi.

But Hayashi's swords sliced through the wood effortlessly, leaving his arm a mangled stump.

Danzo screamed in pain and rage, his Sharingan eyes spinning wildly. He activated Izanagi again and again, sacrificing eye after eye to undo the damage Hayashi inflicted.

But each time he revived, the boy was there, ready to cut him down once more.

"How?" Danzo gasped, his voice ragged. "How is it possible?"

Hayashi's answer came in the form of a swift strike, slicing both of his arms and beheading him.

Suigetsu, taking a break from his Root massacre, caught a glimpse of Danzo's grotesque form. "Damn, and I thought Jugo's transformations were ugly! This guy takes the cake!"

Jugo shot him an annoyed look. "Watch it, Suigetsu. At least my transformations serve a purpose."

Suigetsu just grinned. "Yeah, yeah. But seriously, look at him."

Overhearing the comment, Danzo let out a roar of fury and unleashed a massive blast of dark chakra, hoping to incinerate them all.

But Hayashi appeared behind Danzo and sliced him in two, killing him yet again.

As Danzo came back to life once more, he launched himself at Hayashi with a primal roar that echoed off the walls. "I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED BY THE LIKES OF YOU!"

Hayashi charged forward, meeting Danzo's attack head-on. The abomination swung its massive, misshapen arm, intent on crushing him like an insect.

But Hayashi was too quick. He dodged the blow, then used Danzo's arm as a springboard, launching himself upward.

From there, he sprinted up the length of the arm, his eyes fixed on Danzo's head. With a swift strike, he severed the head from the body, sending it tumbling to the ground.

For a moment, it seemed the fight was over. But Danzo's body refused to die.

The head, still alive and filled with malice, reattached itself to the body as he used Izanagi once more, his form shifting and twisting as it regenerated.

"You just don't know when to quit, do you?" Hayashi taunted. "How many times do I have to kill you before you stay dead?"

Danzo growled at him and transformed into an even more grotesque form. Tentacles writhed from his flesh, pulsing with dark chakra. "I am immortal! I cannot be defeated!"

"Damn, the old fossil's gotten even uglier!" Suigetsu laughed. "I didn't think that was possible!" Subconsciously reaching for his greatsword.

Zabuza warned, "Don't even think about joining in. You're not ready for this level of fight."

Suigetsu harrumphed at him, but stayed back, knowing better than to argue.

Danzo unleashed a barrage of attacks at Hayashi. Fire and wind jutsus tore through the chamber, leaving a trail of destruction.

But the young shinobi dodged each attack. His body twisted as he evaded the onslaught, his speed unmatched.

When an attack came too close, he deflected it with a swift stroke of his sword, the blade flashing as it cut through the flames.

Growing desperate, Danzo resorted to using the fallen Root agents as human shields.

He grabbed their lifeless bodies, throwing them at Hayashi in a bid to throw him off balance. Danzo's face twisted into a cruel sneer as he did so.

Hayashi's face contorted in disgust as he dodged the grisly projectiles. "You'd sacrifice your own men?"

Just as he prepared to strike again, a figure burst into the chamber. It was Fumetsu, Danzo's most loyal agent.

He had heard the commotion and rushed to his master's aid.

He stood beside Danzo, ready to defend him to the death.

But Danzo, his mind consumed by the power of the Reibi, did the unthinkable.

With a sickening crunch, he crushed Fumetsu's body, absorbing his flesh to grow another arm, his face a twisted mask of madness.

Fumetsu's eyes wide with shock and betrayal as he gasped, "Why, Lord Danzo? I... I don't understand..."

As the life faded from his eyes, his mind drifted back to a time before Danzo's descent into madness, a time when he believed in his mentor's vision for a stronger Konoha.

----------

Years ago, in a quiet moment between missions, Fumetsu found Danzo sitting alone, his face pensive as he gazed out over the village.

"Lord Danzo, is everything alright?" he asked, his voice filled with concern. "You seem troubled."

Danzo managed a small smile. "Ah, Fumetsu. I was just... remembering a time when things were simpler, when I believed I could change the world for the better."

Fumetsu sat beside him. "What do you mean, Lord Danzo? You've always fought for Konoha's best interests, haven't you?"

Danzo sighed, his gaze distant. "Yes, but sometimes I wonder if the path I've chosen is truly the right one."

Fumetsu said, "Lord Danzo, I believe in you and your vision for Konoha."

"You've always done what you felt was necessary to protect the village, even when others couldn't see it. I'm proud to serve by your side, and I always will be."

Danzo smiled, a genuine warmth in his eyes that was rare to see.

----------

As the memory faded, Fumetsu, his body broken and absorbed into Danzo's twisted form, whispered his final thoughts. "May my sacrifice be of use, Lord Danzo..."
