Zhang Hengli chuckled, the sound a low rumble that seemed to emanate from his broad chest. "Let's just say we...owe each other a favor."
Chen Xinyi arched an immaculately groomed brow. "You seem like a man of considerable means and status. My brother is just a simple man from the lowly districts of Wuhan. I fail to understand what debt he could possibly hold over someone of your standing."
Zhang Hengli's lips quirked in an enigmatic half-smile as he navigated the city streets with an economy of movement. "It's not for you to understand the particulars, Mrs. Song. What's important is that your daughter and yourself are out of this legal debacle, is it not?"
