Three days after showing Rachel the sights of Konstanz, Harper decided to move her motorhome to Dresden. She had wanted to share with Rachel the reasons why she had stayed in Konstanz for so long—the city's rich history and the inspiration she had found there for her work.
Konstanz, with its status as a witness to historic world events, captured Harper's imagination. The Niederburg, the oldest part of the city; the Imperia landmark, visible from afar; the historic city towers; and numerous other sights had all fascinated her. It was within these ancient walls and structures that Harper had sought to find the perfect inspiration for her upcoming book.
