"Yes, this is your chance to make your mark in one fell swoop. Similarly, don't let the World Government down!" Kong responded in a chilling tone.
"Hey, old man, thanks for the offer. The position of Marine Admiral... I've got my sights set on it!" A hunchbacked, blond-haired middle-aged man adorned himself with the Marine cloak, his eyes gleaming fiercely. He lunged violently towards Bai Ye.
"What a formidable being, so much so that the World Government would present such a generous and tempting deal," he remarked. "But no matter your strength, you will kneel before my stun fruit ability!" As he spoke, the hunchbacked man crossed his fingers, shooting a yellow, dizzying light from his fingertips.
At this moment, the rest of the individuals erupted into a flurry of movement, intending not to be outdone. A chaotic melee instantly erupted at sea.

Although everyone moved swiftly, showcasing their immense strength, none matched the speed of the middle-aged man racing towards Bai Ye.
The yellow dizzying light reached Bai Ye first, enveloping him completely. Bai Ye felt an odd sensation, as if the world had turned upside down, and contemplated the Devil Fruit's magical abilities. "Ha! The head of this criminal is mine! And so is the position of Marine Admiral! You can't tell up from down now, so go to hell!" he shouted triumphantly.
Nevertheless, before the man could savor his anticipated victory, a widening of his pupils betrayed his shock. He was greeted by the sight of Bai Ye raising his hand to strike with his blade.
"If this is the best you've got, it's far too weak!" Bai Ye remarked coldly as the blade of Ryūjin Jakka descended.
The middle-aged man, struck by realization, thought, "No, how can he...?" But before he could finish the thought, a line of blood tore across his chest, and he was sent flying backward with an explosive force!
"The hasty one always suffers in the end!" the other fighters realized, sighing with relief. A muscular man with suspenders resembling a top hurled himself towards Bai Ye, axes spinning.
"This head is going to be Lord Drey's prize! Die!"
The strong man whirled at breakneck speed, forming a waterspout bursting with splashes, surging violently towards Bai Ye.
It was clear what he intended. A gymnast in top form, he believed that luring Bai Ye into the sea would secure his victory and his promotion to Marine Admiral.
With this in mind, his movements grew more frantic. But to Bai Ye, the notion of gymnastics seemed insignificant.
Bai Ye advanced, his muscular form becoming visible beneath his robe. Clenching his fist tightly, he conjured up an impressive presence, intimidating enough to make others pale in comparison and retreat from the towering waterspout before him.
Bai Ye sprung into action, "One bone...!" The sea beneath his feet erupted due to the immense force, and in the next moment, he faced the giant waterspout. Without hesitation, he launched a punch.
There are no flashy effects or blinding lights, just pure physical prowess.
"Boom!"
The colossal sound echoed across the ocean.
Suddenly, the towering waterspout connecting heaven and sea came to an abrupt halt.
This was not the end, though. As the waterspout collapsed, the man who had earlier attempted to drag Bai Ye into the sea for a battle coughed up a fountain of blood.
It became clear to everyone that Bai Ye's punch had not only stopped the waterspout but had also struck the man concealed within it.
The force of the punch rendered the man unconscious, his chest caved in. He spurted blood and tumbled into the sea in the distance.
The scene couldn't help but alter the complexions of the others poised to advance.
"Good lord, he's strong! Much stronger than what I sensed!"
And, was that man not a Devil Fruit user? How could he withstand the sea?
They were filled with dread.
Suddenly, the assault on Bai Ye resumed.
This attack was different; it wasn't the enemy approaching Bai Ye as before.
An ear-splitting sonic wave emerged from afar, shaking the entire sea and attempting a stealth attack on Bai Ye from the side.
"Is that the same guy from before?!"
"Are we targets too?!"
The group, in shock, instinctively dodged and then looked up to see the long-armed man in a blue suit who had earlier addressed Sengoku.
As the sound wave neared Bai Ye, a smile of confident triumph spread across the long-armed man's face.
He had secured it! The position of Marine Admiral would be his!
His Devil Fruit power was the Sonic Fruit, enabling devastating sonic attacks via the vocal cords.
Despite witnessing Bai Ye's might from a distance, the long-armed man was convinced that internal organs could not match the outward strength, and shattering them meant certain death.

With this thought, an unexpected event took place before the eyes of all present.
