Chapitre 98: Chapter 81- New York War (4)

As Loe darted sideways and forward with quick speed, is agile movements threw off Viper's aim, making it hard for him to get a clean shot. With precision, Loe fired towards Viper, forcing him to duck behind cover. Taking advantage of Viper's momentary retreat, Loe fired again, the bullets whizzing past Viper as he scrambled to avoid getting hit.

Taking advantage of the distraction, Loe activated his cape and soared into the air. Even with gunfire all around, he moved smoothly, dodging the shots effortlessly. Holding his gun steady, he aimed at Viper and shot. Each bullet found its target, getting closer and closer to hitting Viper.

Caught off guard by Loe's sudden attack from above, Viper found it hard to fight back. As Loe flew closer, he started punching with all his might, each hit landing hard and fast like a hammer. Viper stumbled backward, losing his grip on his gun as Loe's fierce attack pushed him back.

But Viper was not one to go down without a fight. He swiftly kicked towards Loe's chest, knocking him back. As Loe recovered his balance, he saw Viper reaching for a knife tucked in his pocket. Reacting instinctively, Loe dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding the blade as it sliced through the air.

With a quick punch, Loe hit Viper in the nose. Viper stumbled back, groaning. Loe saw his chance and kept hitting Viper with a bunch of punches.

As Loe's fist connected with Viper's nose, Viper stumbled backward, clutching his face in agony. "Aurghh, you bastard!" he growled through clenched teeth, his voice strained with pain.

Loe's knee slammed into Viper's groin, making him double over in agony, his face twisted with pain. But Loe didn't stop there. He quickly followed up with an elbow to Viper's head, aiming to bring him down for good.

Viper, still recovering from Loe's unyielding attack, fought to stay upright. He glared at Loe with a blend of frustration and disbelief, panting heavily as he spoke.

"Why are you so strong despite being a kid?" Viper growled through gritted teeth, his voice strained with pain.

Loe grinned wider at Viper's question, staying confident. "Well, I'm the hero, you're the bad guy," he said sarcastically. "In stories, heroes win, don't they?

"

Viper's laughter, irritate loe. Then he spoke through gritted teeth, his voice tinged with anger and pain. "You think this is some kind of fairy tale, kid?"

Then Loe cut his word and shout "Tell me," Loe demanded, his tone unwavering. "Why are you doing this? So many people died because of you and your comrades."

Viper's expression darkened, his boiling with anger. "My comrades died because the government screwed up," he spat, his words dripping with venom. "We served our country as mercenaries, but what they gave us was full of shit."

Loe's gaze softened slightly as he listened to Viper's words, a hint of understanding in his eyes."I know what it feels like to lose someone," he admitted, his voice tinged with sorrow. "But that doesn't mean you have to resort to this,'" he repeated, his tone firm yet compassionate.

But Viper laughed off Loe's attempt to empathize. "You don't know anything, kid," he snapped, bitterness dripping from his words. "What do you know about losing someone?"

Loe's face grew serious, his resolve strengthening with each passing moment. "I know more than you think," he replied, his voice steady. ""I lost my boss, someone I really cared about."

He continued, his words ringing with conviction. "I wanted revenge, to kill the man who took him from me. But someone stopped me, showed me that there's another path, one that doesn't lead to darkness."

Loe stared straight at Viper, his gaze unwavering. "If I ever resort to killing someone, it will be to protect those I care about, not for revenge," he declared, his voice full of resolve.

Meanwhile

"Today's your unlucky day, Spider-Man," Atlas sneered, a chuckle betraying his dark amusement.

I glared at him, my voice dripping with anger. "Why are you doing this? Killing people, causing destruction... I know revenge blinds you, but it won't solve anything." My words were a desperate plea, hoping to break through his cycle of violence and vengeance.

"You know, Spider-Man," Atlas began, his tone dripping with bitter sarcasm, "During the 1800s, Lived in a village with 70 people." His words felt really heavy, like they were filled with the weight of tragedy and loss.

"But out of those 70 people, only one guy made it out alive," Atlas went on, his voice sounding like it was breaking with emotion.

"And guess who the only person left standing was? That was me, right in front of you," Atlas disclosed, his eyes drilling into me with anger and sadness.

"Out of those 69 who perished, my girlfriend was among them, the one I loved the most," Atlas's voice shook with sadness, and I couldn't help but feel really sorry for him. Hearing about the unfairness he faced made me super angry at the people who did him wrong.

"All of those ungrateful fuckers even called us monsters just because we can use magic," Atlas's bitterness cut through the air like a knife, and His words made me feel angry too, thinking about how unfair it was. It showed the humanity's darkest secrets, a stark reminder of the fear and hatred that lurked within society.

"And you know what cause their death? They dropped a bomb on our village, wiped us all out, and I was the only one left," Atlas's voice shook with sadness, his pain hitting me hard. I felt so sorry for him, like a heavy weight on my chest, knowing what he'd been through.

"That's why I've been plotting for a hundred years," Atlas continued, his voice heavy with the burden of centuries of pain. "Because back then, those fuckers were way stronger, with their armies, their mass of weapons, and their mutants. And there was just me, all alone. That's why I waited, gathered comrades, and planned that today would be the day I serve justice," Atlas's voice carried the weight of centuries of suffering, his determination unwavering in the face of overwhelming odds.

Atlas's words hit me hard. "You have no idea what I've endured," he said with a heavy tone, and suddenly, I felt a wave of sympathy for him. Hearing about his hundred-year-long grudge made me shiver, realizing that his desire for revenge had led us to this dangerous moment.

Then Atlas shouted, "Die, Spider-Man!" as he created a swirling circle of fire in his hand and hurled it toward me. I dodged to the side just in time, feeling the heat as the flames narrowly missed me.

Before I could strike back, Atlas disappeared into the portal, only to reappear with a dark portal swirling around him. He gestured with his hands, forming a magical symbol similar to Dr. Strange's, then he summon a icy arrow aimed straight at me.

Dodging again, Using my web I swiftly sent the icy arrow hurtling back at Atlas, aiming to surprise him. But he was ready, summoning a magical shield with another swift gesture, effortlessly blocking the arrow.

Unfazed, I kept attacking. I lunged at Atlas, swinging at him. My punch crashed through his shield, knocking him back. He looked shocked and stumbled, caught off guard by the force of my blow.

I know his strong but I reminded myself of the countless hours I had dedicated to training over the past four years. Every day had been a test of my limits, pushing myself to become stronger, faster, and more resilient.

But Atlas had no intention of letting up. With a wicked grin, he summoned a pack of wolves with a wave of his hand, the ferocious creatures advancing on me with predatory hunger.

As the wolves circled around me, their eyes gleaming with hunger, I couldn't help but feel a surge of frustration. "You've gotta be kidding me," I muttered, bracing for battle. Atlas and his wolf pack closed in, leaving no room for hesitation. It was time to fight.
