The moment I stepped onto the royal grounds, the air buzzed with an energy that made my heart race. I scanned the area, looking for Niko, Silas, and Talon, and when I finally spotted them, Niko's words hit me like a bolt of lightning. "Cedric, do you want to have a wedding ceremony and officially be married to us?"
I froze, my breath catching in my throat. Marriage? The word echoed in my mind, and before I could process what was happening, I turned on my heels and bolted in the direction I had come from. Panic surged through me, and I heard Silas whisper, "Maybe we should let him be," but I could not stop.
