MAXWELL'S POV

The Elisera council meeting ended and the guards briefed Emmet that General Adora had hurriedly left Elisera with her troops and Guard Esme or Rockwell Town. We left the Elisera council hall after finalizing the meeting and went to Emmet's house as it was getting dark. We agreed to meet up with Drusilla early in the morning and head back to Sith after having a meeting with Angelina.

The silence stretched between Emmet and me as we walked to his home and I knew he had a lot on his mind.

" How about we hit the bar first and have some beer and meat? I am sure it will lighten up the mood" Emmet suggested.

" That is a good idea as I do need a drink " I nodded and took a diversion to the newly opened bar near Emmet's house. The place was low-key and had few customers and was a perfect nightcap.
