Chapitre 63: Allure

"You don't have to spend the night here. You know that, right?" Bel said, holding the cover sheets to her chest as she sat on the bed and held them there.

Davien stopped abruptly and stared at her. "Maybe," he responded. "But everyone says otherwise." He continued walking.

Bel glared at him. "Have you no shame? Why would you be in the same vicinity with someone who can't stand you?"

Davien got into bed, and Bel scooted to the end of her side, not missing the fact that he didn't react to her words. She watched him lie on his back and then face the ceiling. He smelled like soap.

Bel looked up, following his gaze, which rested on the wooden ceiling. The pattern design was enough to capture attention, but Bel was familiar with it as it wouldn't be the first time she would see the room on the left wing.

"We leave tomorrow night," he said.

Bel's neck spun so fast, she heard a crack. "What?" she asked.
