Roselia knew she had to leave, but where? She had run from Cruden, ignored his calls, and was now being kicked offrom her own house. She ran upstairs to her bedroom, but no longer felt safe even with the doors locked. She blocked out the world and had nowhere to go. Her throat tightened. She glanced under her pillow. There was one last thing she wanted from here. Maybe she could go live out in the forest and be a hobbit or something.
Roselia wasted no time. She grabbed the folder and read through everything. She had a right to know the timeline. A right to information. And when she scanned through the papers, reading every fine print, every contract, every signature, her heart plummeted to her stomach. A horrible sense of dread washed over her.
The truth truly shattered her.
The contracts. The papers. The promises.
