Chapitre 17: SOOO, scavenging time?

"My bow was the last thing I have created that is just... mine" he sounded defeated saying that. Continuing on he said, "Of all of the recreated weapons in my reality marble the bow sits as the only thing that I have designed. I honestly never needed anything else. With any type of weapon at my disposal why would I?" his voice indignant.

"Who ever said it was needed?" was my question. to be honest i knew what his reaction would be. "So I could just end up with another set of The married blades? Another tool gathering dust in the marble?!" he quickly reigned in sighing. "I... I didn't want that."

"Then make sure whatever you make, this time in the real world, will be used. With the reality marble you gained the opertunity to see how everything was made. The methods are there. You just need to find what you want to use and make something." i sighed next. "Shirou, wanna know a fun fact on who looks just like us in the history of your old universe?" he appeared puzzled at my words. To be honest i wonder if its that much of a stretch considering our origin and element. "Shinji Masamura, The Blacksmith who cut Karma." "What?" standing up in shock. "Yup, so most likely we were related. Sooooo, blacksmithing is in the blood!"

He now looked at me incredulously. Ha, That's what you get, we are all stubborn people! From a man who chased the ideal of a Hero of Justice to the man who wished to forge a sword that could cut Karma. We were an insane family. "This is a new world, Shirou. Your ideal, while you chose to learn and grow to hate it... it wasn't bad. Misguided, sure. Hypocritical, most likely. BUT, you have already been through this. This world I'm not gonna sugar coat it, it gets bad."

I could vaguely remember all of the different videos on lore I watched in my boredom. When the Thalmor take over the Altimer and recreate the Aldimeri Dominion. Their "1st" great war they wage. Hammerfel split in two for a time. The void nights for the Khajiit That's not even mentioning the Skyrim shit show that is Ulfric Stormcloak. real peace of work he is.

"Look, Shirou. You really have a chance now to do different. It starts with the simplest of things. To forge something new. Now there's plenty of debris in the nobles district as well as possibly furniture we can gather for the taking. Not to mention we don't have food here. So how about we start there?" a quick staredown at my shameless pep talk / pun. "...Fine. Use the well and clean up your hair as well. You have some black streaks going through it for some reason." Ahh? oh right the changes. So I'm a Seer already? Great! doesn't feel much different. "That's the whole Lord of Mysteries thing, my sequence went forwards so now I'm a Seer!" just need to remember what abilities i have now.

After cleaning up and beginning our walk to the inn, I felt the changes more pronounced. it was a slow growing intuition on my abilities. First was Spirit vision. Sensory overload hit like a truck with that. Figured that out after thinking of something that didn't exist. There's a lot of that did exist on a multiverse scale turns out. Settled for a rendition of my predecessor's trigger for Cogitation. A ball of luminescent and shadowy strings tangled together. Since the pattern is random in my mind it just worked.

Though it did work... and then spirit vision activated. It was beautiful. You see, in Nirn Magicka runs through EVERYTHING. Very slight bits of it mind you but when it moves through something it changes it slightly to fits to whatever object it moves through. Flowing through, out of, and into everything around me. Then the slight dizziness of having it activated for awhile kicked in. Closing my eyes and reimagining the ball of Strings I was back to normal vision.

After that escapade and creating a trigger of tapping my left index to my thumb twice. (Thank you brain for remembering the little things!!) We were on our way around. The ladies at the inn thanked us again for our meal as well as inviting Shirou to cook for the rest of the night for 30 Septims. We happily agreed since it meant we would also get food again for free. Getting a few directions to the rubble of the noble district and grabbing an abandoned cart from the area we were finally beginning to look around for whatever we could use.

As Shirou flipped another slab of rock we started to check one of the bigger houses\ apartment style buildings. "From what I've seen Azarius there probably wont be much here." I openly scoffed at that, "You underestimate what we are looking for. Most nobles of the Imperials and Bretons were notorious for keeping practically useless trinkets. These types of trinkets are made of various metals. We already have a bunch that are small and easily melted. Not to mention the clothes and covers we've found. We don't even need to sell anything and we would be decent enough."

he sighed right back at me, "I still don't get why you got so happy at the black metal that little figurine was made of. You didn't even let me touch it either for some reason. It would help knowing what I'm looking for after all."

"Fine, basic introduction to metals of Nirn, in order they go; Iron, Steel, Orcish, Elvish or nicknamed Glass, Dwarven or Dwemer, and finally Ebony. As far as quality and such they are grouped in twos for their strength and durability, except for Ebony. Elvish metal, The gold and green Glass looking one, is great for Magicka circulation. While Orcish metal seems more durable but heavier at least of the two. Dwarven metal is very conductive and durable. Ebony on the other hand is the strongest metal but when it comes to Magicka conductivity it's found very lacking. BUT, When it does keep the Magicka it hold on to it very tightly. What can you make of that?"

"If it holds the Magicka tightly then maybe it can hold a stronger enchantment?" Shirou answered thoughtfully. He was still moving about grabbing random decorative pieces of metal and other things we might need or want. I just grabbed a chair when I answered him, "Correct, it also means if we can make an alloy or Damascus with say the Elvish metal we can create a "Mystic Code" or "Magical Foci" type weapon. This could help me when I begin learning in a few days the Magicka style of magic."

Following me out the "door", more like giant hole in the rubble, with his arms full he said, "Or you could use that idea as the handle of the weapon and the pommel of it as the Foci. That would leave the blade to be more of a regular weapon instead."

"Any weapons like that you know of?" genuinely curious. "It was popular among the Americas with the tribes people there. Since they followed a more ritualistic way of using weapons their daggers and blades seemed to follow as such. Bones and blood seemed to be their way of binding and enchanting their go to method." A flash going through his eyes when he spoke. A guard passed by as we loaded the things on the cart. thankfully he simply waved at us in a friendly way and kept moving. Thank you good deeds!

"What kind of weapon do you even want?" he asked as we were moving back in. "Don't know. I know what I need at least for rituals down the line is a pure silver dagger. But that's not for combat. If I want to think for more of a combat perspective I would want a firearm." He seemed a bit surprised at that. "Curious, would have expected you to follow me with more bladed weapons." with a bit of amusement leaking from him.

"Meh, I will still learn to fight with them, no doubts there. but at the end of the day my abilities are more of the Castor variety. Evasive combat will be more my cup of tea if you will. So probably like a dagger and pistol combo for short range. Then when its time to bring out the big guns so to speak I can just bring a sniper rifle! Because lets be honest without precision machines we wont be able to do much more." I still remember when Kline, The previous Lord of Mysteries fought as just a Clown or Magician. Lots of evasion and misdirection. Kept that up even when he made it to the Demigod ranks.

"Its a decent way of fighting. For dagger techniques we can modify some I know and see what sticks. As for making a gun in this world can't say if it will be all that possible." He was a bit more realistic but i had my trump card in the form of out of the box thinking!

Grabbing a few more valuables as well as some jewels from a hidden box under the broken stairs of the building. Right under a cracked floor board. "Yeah, the main problem is precision, BUT, we have projections. We can make molds and such and any real tools to make them more precise. Which means we will be able to make the more simple ones. As far as pistols we would be looking at revolvers at first. For The sniper, well I know a full schematic of a Mosin-Nagant. The more hard part would be the gun powder but Fire Salts are a thing and we could use charcoal mixed with it. Could work..."

"Well I'm glad your thinking ahead and all. The cart is about full so lets bring what we have back and set up the rooms with all we have so far." Shirou said. Sounded a bit helpless at my fervor for guns. Ha! My enemies will know the terror of the Dwemer, only much worse!
