Chapitre 66: Chapter 66

Daenerys undressed and put on a nightgown when she heard the knocks. She opened the doors and looked at Jon Stark.

He was fully dressed and had his sword by his side. The man looked at her nightgown; Daenerys felt the grey eyes on her and waited. "Daenerys." He rasped and then the man in her dreams touched her cheek, "I have missed you so much." He dropped his sword with a clang. She was silent; Daenerys did not know what to say but it was more than she could take. The queen caressed his cheek and hugged him tight. She smelled him and tiptoed to nuzzle his cheek. At last, she had longed for him. Daenerys never thought she would have him. She looked into his eyes and kissed him gently.

The queen had never experienced anything so wonderful as when she first kissed Jon Stark. It was an explosion. She knew; she understood that there would be no other one. She would never let anyone else kiss her. The man kissed her back softly and pulled away. He smiled at her and kissed her once more. They kissed until Daenerys felt the need to pull at his armor. She carefully ran her hands through his hair and unstrapped his chest. The armor fell away as did the cumbersome pieces of clothing. He was on his breeches when he touched the front of her nightgown. Jon's fingers danced over the swell of her breasts lightly. She felt his other hand travel down to lift the hem of her nightgown. Daenerys raised her arms and let him guide her to the furs. He kissed her mouth once more and murmured against the skin of her neck. "You're perfect." He mumbled and kissed the space between her breasts.

Jon pushed her to the furs and climbed over her. She felt the need to undo the laces in front of his breeches. Daenerys reached for them but he pushed her hands away. "Not yet. It'd be over too soon." His eyes were black; the grey around his pupils was only a fine line around pools of black. He suckled on her tits; just like he did in her dreams. She moaned and brought him closer. Daenerys tried to lift her hips and made contact with him. Jon growled lowly and bit her nipple as if warning her to not do it again. "Let me." He kissed down her belly and lower. She gasped and fisted his hair. He chuckled and kissed her core. Daenerys let out a yelp when he nibbled on her mound. She had never had anyone kiss her there. She caressed his hair and closed her eyes. She bit her lips and felt the tension pool in her lower belly; her toes curled and her legs felt heavy when he sucked hard on her. She came with a loud moan; her legs felt wobbly and her body on fire. Jon moaned and continued to lick her until she was done.

Daenerys tasted herself when he kissed her. She continued to be silent and reached for his breeches. She undid the lace and helped him out of them. He was bigger than Daario but slightly smaller than Drogo. She kissed his cheek and moved her hand up and down his length. He kissed the side of her neck and made little noises that left her breathless. She wanted to satisfy him as much as he had her. She kissed him again and liked how he moaned into her mouth. She wanted him inside her.

"Jon." She whispered. He smiled at her and kissed her. "Daenerys." He rasped once more. She decided that only let he call her that. No one else would ever be allowed to call her Daenerys, that name belonged to him and only him.

She moved to bring him over her. "I want you inside of me Jon." He nodded and ever so gently opened her legs. He bit her belly button; Jon bit up until he rubbed his cock against her slit. He teased her until she plead. Daenerys smiled when she felt him inside her. He was perfect above her. Jon moved in and out never once breaking eye contact with her. The man in her dreams made love to her gently. It was better than in her dreams. Daenerys' eyes rolled at the pleasure her lover gave her. Jon carefully moved in and out of her; Daenerys brought him closer to her, so close that he had to sit and she sat on his lap. She moved above him and moaned when he whispered her name over and over.

The woman never wanted to be away from him. She nuzzled on his neck and came again. She was boneless above him; Daenerys gave up, she was happy, tired, and felt delicious. Jon caressed the back of her head and then she was against the furs. Jon pumped lazily into her. Daenerys felt the delicious pleasure pool once more. She wanted him closer. She whined and moaned trying to kiss him, to thread her fingers on his hair but Jon held her still. "I want to see you peak again." He teased her lips open. Daenerys closed her eyes and pushed Jon over the edge.

She opened her eyes quickly, "let me see you." She whispered and looked at him. His face contorted and he rode the waves of his orgasm. He was beautiful; she wanted to kiss his face, kiss him all over again. Daenerys realized she could and did so. She welcomed his seed and was thrilled when he stayed there. Jon kissed her neck and cheek and breathed deeply. She nuzzled the other side of his face. She looked at him and smiled; a proper smile. "I have dreamed of you every night Jon Stark." She pronounced his name clearly.

He chuckled and rolled off her. "As have I my queen." Jon kissed her hands. The smile

Daenerys frowned, "I am Daenerys, only Daenerys, just for you. You can call me Dany if you want." She felt like a stupid little girl for a few seconds until he grinned and he reminded her of Rickon.

"Daenerys it is." He touched her lips and kissed her once more. "I want to be inside of you once more." Jon's hands wandered once more. Daenerys had a wicked idea and straddled him. She kissed him on his jaw. "I want to touch you now." She smiled and kissed his collarbones. Daenerys playfully ran her fingers over his chest and noticed the scars. Jon explained how he got them. She kissed them gently, "Blackwater" He said when she reached one near his belly button.

Daenerys ground her hips over his. "I want you to be inside me again." She moaned and Jon flipped her until she was under him once more. "I rather be on top." He growled and thrust into her. Daenerys eyes opened wide; he was thicker than Drogo and so very handsome. She bit his lips, which drove him wild; he moved in and out of her until Daenerys clawed at his back. Jon seemed a kind lover but he was more driven this time. He seemed to have run out of gentle and rutted against her. She whimpered and he stopped. "Should I stop?" He asked while tyring to go slower. Daenerys shook his head. "No, go faster, you've always gone faster." She licked his neck. She remembered a particular dream where he took her hard and fast. Jon must have had that same dream because the next thing she knew he re-enacted it for her. Her lover stood up and picked her up. He walked to the nearest wall by the window and pounded her. Daenerys snaked her legs around his back and clawed him with all she had. She would have bruises all over her body but it would be delicious pain that she would remember and it would thrill her. Jon growled and then he marked her without any care. She felt the bite on her neck and the pain from his teeth breaking skin and his tongue licking the area pushed her to the edge. She whispered her name like a prayer and let him carry her back to the bed where both of them slept both satisfied and against each other.

She woke up to the feel of him against her. "Daenerys." He rasped and rubbed against her back. She turned a little and realized he was still asleep. She brought moved closer to him and lifted her leg a little. He was in, she moaned and loved when he bit her ear, "feisty little thing that you are." Jon rolled her nipple and touched her core. Daenerys came with a tiny moan and felt his seed inside her once more. She turned to kiss his mouth.

"Wonderful way to wake up." He rumbled and held her close.

Daenerys felt dread, "Should I be up?" Jon rolled above her and she thought he would take her again but he merely looked out of the window. "Early morning. No one expects you to be up anytime soon Daenerys."

She settled next to him. He looked at her, "You have beautiful eyes." He traced her face.

"Tell me about you." She asked while smiling when his fingers ran over her nose and cheekbones.

He chuckled, "Lord Jon Stark; heir to Winterfell and future Warden of the North. I have four brothers and two sisters; Robb, Tommen, Bran, Rickon, Joanna and Arya. I am almost five and twenty."

Daenerys chuckled when he tickled her, "I know all of that, your mother told me all of that."

Jon kissed her quickly; "What else does my queen know?" He said with a pompous voice. Daenerys loved feeling like this. She was happy with him, happier than she had ever been.

"You rode to battle after you thought your father dead. You look almost exactly like your lord father. Jon Stark was married once too, a marriage of convenience according to your mother. Roslin Frey died shortly after said marriage. You went back North and have helped the Wall ever since you were back. Lady Stark mentioned that you do not come to Winterfell as much as she would like. She says it's because you are extraordinarily brave." Daenerys explained while her lover blushed a little.

"My mother is exaggerating. She is prone to that." Jon laughed.

"She loves you very much." Daenerys had heard a lot about the Starks over the past few weeks.

Jon chuckled, "I am her favorite."

Daenerys kissed his lips, "I do not think she has favorites."

"Trust me; she loves all of us but she loves me better." Jon teased. "Your grace knows everything there is to know then."

She kissed him again; it seemed she could not be in his presence without kissing him. "I want to know more. I want to know everything." She continued and bit his jaw.

He smiled, "What do you want to know?"

She kissed his chest, "tell me about growing up here."

Jon nodded, "Mother was pregnant with a baby before me. She lost that babe and two more before I arrived. I was an only child for about two years and then she had Robb. Robb and I were happy. Father took us hunting, fishing, taught us about the lands and all there is to know about the North. He is very loyal and kind, an honorable man, a fool some say. After Robb it seemed mother was pregnant every year."

Daenerys frowned, "my mother died when I was born. Tell me how it feels to have siblings."

Jon frowned back, "you have a brother Viserys and your nephew; you are close in age to him."

The queen shook his head and looked at him honestly, "Viserys was like my warden. He loved me before he understood that my body would buy him an army. I just found Aegon. He claims to be Rhaegar's son."

Jon made a comprehension noise, "you doubt his parentage."

Daenerys sighed, "At first but not anymore. He has my look and Viserion likes him; he even lets him ride him. He would not do so if he was not a true Targaryen."

Jon looked confused once more, "Viserion?"

Daenerys giggled, "one my children. I will have to introduce them to you." Jon nodded, "I hope they like me."

"Tell me about growing up." Daenerys asked eager to hear him speak about his childhood.

Jon nodded, "As I said, mother was pregnant all the time. I remember all of her pregnancies, maybe not Robb's exactly but I remember when he was born. I had not seen mother all morning and I was furious. I demanded to see her and she showed me Robb. He was a tiny thing. Mother told me to take care of him since I was older. Robb is my best friend. We were in the Riverlands when mother had Tommen and Joanna. She almost died that time. We met uncle Tyrion and Jaime there."

Daenerys tensed at the mention of Jaime and Joanna. "Aegon killed your uncle Jaime."

Jon tensed as well. "We received the ravens. We were sad to hear he died but he died fighting and protecting Joanna. It is what he would have wanted."

"Joanna and her children escaped." Daenerys explained, never once had she felt guilty about them escaping. She now felt scared that Jon would hate her and she hated herself for that.

He frowned, "I wanted to kill you when I learned you were to raid King's Landing. I asked father to let me go South and save Joanna and her children. Tywin beat me to it. Father stopped me and showed me Tywin's raven. He knew you would seek revenge and feared for my sister. The old lion was there. He waited for them. Stannis begged Joanna to leave before you arrive but she refused. Brienne of Tarth had to take her from the throne hall and take Shireen and Steffon as well."

Daenerys shook her head, "It was a man. A man took your sister away."

"It was a woman. Brienne, part of the King's guard. She is formidable with a sword but would never be mistaken by a lady. My uncle loved her." He waggled his eyebrows. Daenerys smiled. "So your sister is safe."

Jon nodded once more, "safe and away from you. Tywin procured money away and they are far from here. Your crown is safe; Joanna has no intentions of ever returning to Westeros."

Daenerys felt guilty and angry, "that child is a threat to my position."

Jon frowned and looked her directly in the eyes, "Joanna has not ambition of ever becoming queen again. She lost her husband and us because of that crown. My sister will not return. I hope you understand that we will never support you and that the North will be up in arms if we ever learn Joanna is harmed." He looked serious and doubtful of her answer.

"Joanna Baratheon and her children will not come back. I have your word, and that is enough. I shall never ask you where they are." Daenerys said plainly and pecked him once more. Jon continued his tale of his childhood.

"I remember being scared beyond words. Uncle Tyrion tried to distract us but we could hear mother's wails of pain. It was before her time, everyone said so. Robb was scared, he did not understand but I did. I knew it was dangerous; the maesters and the septas said so. Uncle Tyrion played with us but he was scared too. After a while mother did not scream anymore; it was all silent. I could tell uncle Tyrion was afraid, so when I heard father's voice coming from the halls, I ran out and I saw him run past me and opened the doors wide. He rushed in; I asked my uncle why father had not come to get us. He said that he would soon. I was scared and after a while father came in and took us to meet the twins. I fell in love with Joanna. She was my best girl until Arya was born."

Daenerys smiled and ran her fingers over his arm, "So Arya is your favorite?"

Jon shook his head, "I love them both equally. Arya and Joanna are my girls. Tommen and the other boys I roughhoused with, Arya and Joanna were delicate. I played house with them until Arya decided she loved swords and Joanna told me she would not be playing anymore because she was a lady and began to follow mother around."

She nodded, "Tell me more."

"Arya was born in the middle of the night. Robb and I thought she was the last. Father convinced mother to have Bran. Father threw a feast when she gave birth to Brandon. He was overjoyed. Robb and I drank wineskins and were sick all day after that." Jon reminisced.

Daenerys looked at him and confessed, "I have never been drunk."

Jon guffawed, "I shall get you drunk. I wish I could go back; before Robert came to Winterfell. That was the beginning of all of our disasters. Arya fell in love with Gendry, and that boy broke Joanna's heart. They all went South and Bran fell from that tower. He was crippled. Mother almost died when she learned father was "dead". We went to war and lost so much." He looked sad.

Daenerys kissed him, "tell about something happy."

Jon smiled, "I will have to show you for you to understand." He teased once more. Daenerys asked more questions about him. She learned that he hated lessons with maesters; he liked riding, hated dancing but knew how to because Lady Stark insisted he learned. Daenerys knew that his favorite meal was kidney pie and that he loved chocolate cakes. She laughed when he told her that his most embarrassing moment was when Lord Stark pulled him and Robb by his ears from a brothel. She laughed and he attacked her chest and kissed her down there once more. She loved the feel of him. He told her about his brother Bran and his dreams of a three-eyed raven. "I almost did something stupid. Mother thinks we will see him one day. Father and I know better." He said sadly.

"Do you have those dreams?" She asked quickly.

"I do, sometimes I am Ghost." He replied and Daenerys learned about the direwolves and how Robb and him found them.

"Lan is the wildest, the least trained." He told her.

The sun was completely up when Jon asked about her, "Tell me about you."

Daenerys spoke about her childhood and noticed that he brought her closer. She told him about the house with the red door. She told him how Viserys had to sell all their things, even her mother's jewelry and crown. Daenerys told him about how happy she was in that house. She told him about the people she met and the places she travelled. He asked haer about the Free Cities. Daenerys told him about them. "What about your playmates ?" He asked.

"I never had any." Daenerys played with some cloth dolls and sometimes Viserys when he was in a good mood.

Jon kissed her again and again, "Tell me something happy."

Daenerys smiled, "my dragons, I was resigned to burn with Khal Drogo and then I burned and my children were born."

Jon asked her gently, "Did you love him?"

Daenerys nodded, "I did, but not at first, I called him my Sun and Stars. I was the Moon of his Life." She recalled with some happiness.

Jon smiled, "Do you still love him?"

"Do you still love your first wife?" Daenerys asked.

Jon shook his head, "I never loved her. I never truly knew her."

Daenerys sighed and touched his chest, "I do, but it is different, it is not overpowering like it once was."

Jon smiled, "It's like an old scar, sometimes, you look at it and it reminds you of what happened and you are suddenly there and then understand it is done."

Daenerys nodded, "I thougt you said you did not love your wife." She mused and waited for his response eagerly.

"I loved another, a free woman." He smiled, "Her name was Ygritte. She rode to battle with me and died fighting. I always felt like something was missing after she died. I longed for her and then I was so busy with the Wall. Little by little the pain lessened and I could think of her without regret."

Daenerys brought him closer and closed her eyes. He moved to lick at her neck; he bit and licked where he marked her earlier. She sighed contently and let him rub against her until he mounted her once more. She moaned and let him do what he wanted. He was gentle once more, only hurrying when he came close to completion.

She liked that he did not move away from her immediately. He was heavy but she loved to have him there. They were side by side; the sun was high up. "I have to leave." He told her after a little while. "Your handmaidens will be here soon enough."

Daenerys nodded, "Will you come by tonight?"

He kissed her, "I will." He dressed in front of her and left just after giving her one last kiss.

Daenerys curled back to the furs and smelled his side. She smiled and slept for a little while. Soon the handmaidens rushed in. "My queen, it is time for lunch."

She sat up and noticed her nakedness. Daenerys knew the servants would see the bruises on her body. They could also smell the room and that as soon as she left they would strip the mattress of the furs and notice Jon's seed and the stains. Daenerys stood up and had the servants draw her a bath. "Fetch more hot water and find me the nicest and warmest dress I own here. Have Ser Jorah tell you where he's stored my dresses as well."

Daenerys enjoyed her bath. She thought of Jon and smiled. The handmaidens placed all the dresses on the furs. The women did not find her dresses from King's Landing. They found the chest with the jewelry. Lady Stark had bestowed other dresses upon her and the tailors in the North had made more for her. Sansa also made clothes for her. Daenerys thought which dress look nicer on her. She decided to wear a gray dress; it was longsleveed and had a nice neckline. Jon liked her neck very much.

The younger maid combed and started the braiding when she gasped. "What is it?" Daenerys asked.

"Your neck." The woman stated. Daenerys touched the tender skin and worried for a few seconds until the older maid came closer, "I can style your hair. I apologize my queen, for I only know how to do Northern braids.

Daenerys frowned, "It is of no matter. Jeyne has been braiding my hair in Northern fashions."

Jeyne shook her head, "Micka means the true Northern braids; Lady Stark wears them every once in a while. Only when Lord Stark is home. I am not allowed to do her hair then."

Daenerys sighed, "Micka if you please braid my hair. It would not be polite to have this bruise on my neck. I must have hurt myself while sleeping." She said unconvincingly.

The older woman pretended to accept said explanation and began the long process of braiding and stylying the queen's long silvery hair. She thought it would take her as much time as Jeyne but she was mistaken Micka was done before she expected. Daenerys had a long braind running down her back. "My queen will have to remember to keep her braid on this side of her neck. The braid was thicker than she thought it would be. "Your grace has beautiful long hair."

Daenerys smiled and asked the maidens to help her put on the jewelry. The other servants carried her trunks as well. She thought of changing clothes and decided against it. She was summoned to the Hall an hour earlier and it would be rude to make them wait. In reality, Daenerys just wanted to see Jon.

Aegon waited for her by the stairs. "I see you have found your clothes." She remarked. Her nephew nodded, "I was growing tired of hand me downs."

Daenerys shook her head and took his arm. "We have to be polite Aegon. They hold most our lands."

"We could find more suitable Wardens." Aegon offered.

Daenerys sighed, "How did that work for us when we tried to appoint Exter Broom to the Westerlands?"

Aegon was silent, "Not very well, there were no rebellions but we had to deploy so much of our forces West. We had no results. The westerosi do well and respect their overlords. The western people only followed Lannisters as did the people in Storm's End, the Eyrie and all of the other lands we have conquered. They all follow their lords and we have to have their loyalty. The Starks are important; we have to be cordial with them."

Aegon huffed, "as you say dearest aunt." He was appeasing her and she knew it. Daenerys stopped and so did Aegon. "What have we learned this past year Aegon?"

Her nephew stayed quiet. "I ask you Aegon to try. It is for the welfare of our people and for our reign." Daenerys insisted once more.

"I do not trust them. I do not understand why you have placed so much of your faith in them." Aegon asked.

Daenerys knew why. She trusted Jon; he would never hurt her and she would never harm him. Daenerys dreamed of him for years. They knew each other; she did not know what they were but it was clear that something linked them. Daenerys also respected Lady Stark and Tyrion. They had been as forthcoming as they could be in their situation. She looked at Aegon and replied, "They could have killed us the first night. We miscalculated Aegon. We were brash; we were ready to burn Winterfell. We should have stayed with Jorah and his men." She could feel her nephew begin to argue with her. She had been brash; she had been eager to reach the North. He wanted to stay back and put all Starks through the sword.

"We were fortunate because these people welcomed us to their home. We will treaty with them. The Starks have bent the knee and so will the other Northern houses." Daenerys stated with finality.

"I want to see the Wall. What if they are lying about the whights and the white walkers? This could all be a trap." Aegon tried once more.

Daenerys grew irritated with him, "for what purpose Aegon? They have sent ravens and asked for men for over three years. This is not a trap. They could have declared war much sooner but they have not. You heard Lady Stark; the army of the dead is rising."

Aegon growled, "They are the reason why father and grandfather died. Your brother and father, need I remind you? They are traitors."

The queen sighed, "So were all the Westerosi lords but we have accepted them back into our kingdoms. Aegon, I understand your desire for justice. The kingslayer is dead and Tywin Lannister is gone. Robert Baratheon is dead as well, so is Clegane. You put a sword through his neck. They were the ones who killed our family. We have to stop and think of what is best for our kingdoms and our reign. I will ask you nicely once more to be polite for our sake." She repeated for the last time.

Aegon plastered a fake smile, "I will be as polite as you need me to be. Do not expect me to befriend this people. I shall be so rejoiced when we are back to King's Landing.

Daenerys agreed to his barbed terms and walked down with him by her side. The Starks and Lannisters were seated. They stood up when Daenerys and Aegon walked to the hall. She did not look for Jon immediately; her face would betray her. She noticed the seating arrangements. Lord Lannister and Stark occupied the ends of the table. Lord Stark was at the head of the table, Lady Stark to his left, that left the seat to his right unoccupied. She was supposed to sit there. Daenerys sat down and so did Aegon, who sat to Tyrion's left. Sansa to his right. Margaery sat next to Sansa and Robb faced her; Jorah sat next to Robb and faced Jon. Daenerys looked to her side and nodded at Tommen. Rickon sat next to his mother who cut some of his meat. She faced Lady Stark who wore the same braid she did. The direwolves were close to the hearths. They did not growl or move.

Lady Stark smiled and shook her head. "It seems my queen has taken to the North."

Daenerys smiled back, a little embarrassed. Could she know? She could not have. "You have been a gracious hostess my Lady." The queen replied gently.

Lady Stark smiled and grabbed Lord Stark's hand, "Ned, Jorah and I were reminiscing about the time You and the boys went to Bear's Island."

Jorah nodded, a little tense as was Lord Stark. "What about it?"

Lady Stark smiled, "Jorah said that Robb and Jon almost drove Maege crazy." The woman touched the lord's arm and he seemed to ease somewhat.

Lord Stark chuckled, "I remember. Robb was half in love with Dacey."

"I was. Dacey was beautiful. She gave me my first kiss. I broke her heart." Robb said dreamily. Margaery smiled while Jon laughed.

Jon shook his head and spoke with a smile, "I remember it differently. You kissed her and Dacey pushed you to the ground and beat you. She promised to feed you to the bears if you ever did something like that ever again." The table roared with laughter.

"That sounds like her." Jorah said happily.

Lord Stark ordered their food and the sevants brought plates after plates for them. "Jorah, you must try the black pudding."

Her bear nodded, "Do you still have that cook?" He asked with a happy glint.

"Bess." Lady Stark said happily.

"That's the one." Jorah piled food on his plate. They ate and conversation flowed easily. Aegon seemed to be speaking to Robb and Margaery. He was polite because Robb seemed to be explaining and speaking amicably.

Daenerys conversed with Tommen and stole glances at Jon. Tommen spoke of Cassana and Myrcella. "I cannot leave the North yet but I will do so as soon as we have controlled the Wall. I cannot wait to see my child and wife." He said mournfully.

Lady Stark tried to help Rickon eat some more but the boy shook her off and climbed down his seat to go to the direwolves. Lord Stark approached her for the first time. "I hope you have found Winterfell to your liking your grace."

Daenerys nodded, "I have. These lands are vast and beautiful."

"You must see them in Spring. The Godswoods are a sight then." Lady Stark commented.

"Your grace, I wish to speak with you about the Wall and our treaty." Lord Stark stated bluntly. It was clear Lady Stark was the diplomat in the family.

Daenerys nodded, "I have wanted to speak with you for weeks my Lord. You need only tell me when."

"After dinner my love." Lady Stark smiled tightly.

"Of course." He replied and continued conversations.

Jon made eye contact with her and drank his wine. He looked so handsome. She wanted to hold him. She averted her gaze, she needed to have a clear head. Soon it was time to speak to Lord Stark.

"We must go to my solar." Lord Stark explained once dinner was concluded.

Aegon was by her side, "Lead the way Lord Stark."

Lord Stark frowned but nodded. Danerys noticed that Jon, Tyrion and Lady Stark were asked to join as well. "Jorah, this concerns you as well." Jorah followed them too.

They entered the solar and Lord Stark motioned to a table in the middle of the room. It was a painting of the Wall and the North. The maester was there already. He stayed quietly writing the happenings around him.

"Your grace, I have the need to show you our standing." Lord Stark then explained to her the geography of the region. He was thorough and went over every hold, old and new. "The Free Folk have adhered to our rules. We have a few cases of thievery and looting but these are far in between. The North has opened the Wall to them because we understand what lies ahead. Every northern house sends men to the Wall. All of my vassal lords have seen or fought white walkers. We feared war when you send the first ravens. I have summoned all the Northern Lords and expect them to arrive or send their representatives next week. Most of us are ready to formally surrender the North to you but first we must meet and establish some ground rules." The man said seriously.

Daenerys tensed, "What sort of terms do you expect my lord? I have forgiven your treason and have not confiscated your lands.

Lord Stark glared at her and spoke clearly, "The North Remembers."

Lady Stark rescued her husband from his words, "We are grateful for that, but we must leave something perfectly clear my queen. We ask you to let us govern our lands as we always have."

Daenerys nodded, "You will be treated as you have in the past. You must pay taxes to the crown and report to your Queen."

Eddard Stark nodded, "Are we to assume there will be no more executions? What of the Baratheon girl in Dragonstone?"

"Alayne Baratheon does not hold Dragonstone anymore. It is my birthplace and I will choose a fit warden. She however will keep a hold for herself or seek refuge in the Riverlands or Dorne if she so wishes." Daenerys explained.

"What of Casterly Rock and the West?" Lady Stark asked carefulluy.

"They shall remain Tyrion's." Daenerys conceded. "There will be heavier taxes in that region. Your lord father killed my father and ordered my nephew's mother and sister's murders. If your lord father ever attempts to land in Westeros or if he is ever found he will be executed. I will not deny that right to Aegon. Call it justice, retribution, whatever you desire but the Lannisters have a debt to the Targaryens and we intend to settle it. It is known that all Lannisters pay their debts." The queen said bitingly. Aegon looked solemn and showed her true and proper affection for the first time. He kissed her hand and smiled. "Thank you sweetest aunt." She could feel Jon's eyes on her.

Tyrion frowned but assented. He was a smart man after all. Daenerys was sure the mines would be restored to their former glory under his management. "My queen does me an honor by trusting me." The man spoke sincerely.

"I need to know how pressing are matters in the Wall." Daenerys informed them.

Lord Stark pointed to the Wall. "We have secured these lands marked in green. We have used wildfire and have tried to evacuate as many people as possible. We will attempt one last expedition before we meet the army of the dead. They are advancing through here." Lord Stark pointed to a black line. "How many?" Jorah asked.

"Thousands more than we could ever hope to fight. We have used wildfire but it is not safe. We have lost at least a hundred of our men. We cannot keep losing more." Lord Stark stated. "We need your men and your dragons if we ever hope to be safe."

"How far are the dead?" Aegon asked.

"We have two main routes from where they come from. One from Hardhome and the other coming from the Milkwater. We usually meet them by the nearby rivers. We have at most six months before they are by the Fist." Jon pointed to the table.

"Ned, what is your plan?" Jorah asked.

Lord Stark smiled, "exactly what you are thinking."

Jorah shook his head, "it is too risky."

Jon nodded, "yes, but if we meet them East of Craster's Keep we can have them all gathered. We also plan to have men ranging and killing as many of them as they can"

"Does Benjen have the men to man and protect the Wall?" Jorah asked.

Ned shook his head, "Almost, we would send our men to support his numbers."

Daenerys frowned, "I do not quite understand."

"Khaleesi, Ned proposes to meet the armies in open field. Here, by Craster's Keep." Jorah pointed easily.

Aegon looked at the Northern Lord. "We would need more men. We would need your children aunt and we would need to gather our forces and have them journey North as soon as possible."

"The prince is correct." Lord Stark said. "I expect to gather the Lords and their men and set off right after we declare for you my queen."

"What if you do not contain the armies?" Lady Stark asked.

"We have a few months before their numbers reach the Fist. We have to fight them by Craster Keep. That is the closest that we can allow them to be. "We will post the remaining of our forces and the Free Folk to defend as much of the North but if said thing should happen Tyrion knows what to do." Lord Stark said somberly.

Tyrion spoke up. "We run Cersei." Lady Stark laughed with her baby brother.

Jon frowned at them as did the others. "They are all so serious." Lady Stark mocked. Tyrion sighed, "Alas, they are Starks and Targaryens. All with their Winter is Coming and Fire and Blood." Tyrion said pompously.

"You are terrible at japes." Daenerys said with a small smile.

Lady Stark laughed once more. "My baby brother is far more agreeable now. You should have met him before he had Sansa and his children."

"Children?" Jon asked.

Tyrion frowned, "Sansa is with child once more." He glared at his sister.

"Congratulations. May he be as beautiful as Sansa." Jon smiled and punched his uncle on the arm.

Lord Stark nodded, "May she give you as many children as my Cersei has." Daenerys congratulated him as did Aegon.

"Lord Stark, how shall the men be distributed?" Aegon asked with a frown.

"I had hoped your graces would send the unsullied to the Wall at once." Lord Stark mentioned.

Aegon looked at her, "They will need someone to guide them. I could go if you need me to Aunt."

Daenerys touched his arm, "I rather you stay here when the Northern houses declare for me." Aegon nodded.

"They could be led by one of your sons my Lord." Aegon proposed.

Lord Stark proposed Tommen. "He will lead them in the morrow." Aegon and Daenerys asked more questions about the Wall and the time it would take to get there. They spent the afternoon planning away. Jorah advised her to send ravens to King's Landing. "It would be prudent to ask for more men. I would ask for the remaining unsullied and the last of the Stormcrows."

Maester Luwin wrote the letter she dictated and had her sign it. "Use your fastest ravens." The elderly man nodded. "Of course my queen."

Lord Stark ended the impromptu strategy meeting. Jorah and Lady Stark stayed back. Tyrion left with Jon who did not look at her anymore. She felt a little discouraged by his actions. Aegon and Daenerys decided to leave when Lord Stark and Jorah discussed Jeor Mormont. They did not want to be privy to that conversation.

He walked her back to her chambers. "Thank you for tonight." Aegon said, "what you said about Tywin Lannister." He kissed her hands.

"You are welcome." She smiled at him.

"I shall see you in the morrow." He smiled back and left.

Daenerys entered the quarters. She sighed; at least Aegon seemed to make an effort. The handmaidens were there to help her with her gown. "Did your grace remember to keep the hair to your side?"

The queen nodded, "I did, thanks for asking. You may go to bed. I will undo the braid myself."

"As your grace commands." The women left her to her thoughts.

"Why was he not there with her?" She thought and looked at her neck. Daenerys touched the sore spot. He had been too rough on her skin. Daenerys started to undo the braid. She finished the braid and had hoped Jon would join her by then but it seemed he lied to her. She frowned and tried to sleep. The maidens changed the furs and the rest of the bedding sheets.

She woke up because of his cold feet. "Jon, your feet are cold." She smiled and kept her eyes closed.

"I did not want to wake you." He rasped and touched her ankles with his cold feet.

"What did you think of father's plans?" Jon asked her. He was naked and she loved it.

Daenerys turned and kissed him, she desired him but it was not the time for that. "I know little of war and strategy. I always left that to Ser Jorah."

"I was summoned back to father's solar after you left." He toyed with a strand of her hair.

"The Bear said something strange." He said while trying to dismiss the thought. "It was something silly."

Daenerys smiled at him and burrowed closer to him. They were very near each other, their noses touching. "Now I have to know."

"He said that you would be at the main battle." Jon kissed her cheek.

The queen nodded, "I will be."

Jon frowned, "You mustn't."

Daenerys frowned back, "I have to. These are my people; what kind of queen would I be if I were not there? I cannot ask men to sacrifice their lives and fight if I am not there with them."

Jon sat up. "The battlefield is not a place for women."

Daenerys sat up, "I am not just some woman. I am the queen. It is my duty to be there."

Jon frowned, "You owe it to your people to be safe. Winterfell is your place."

"My dragons do not follow commands from anyone but me." Daenerys said proudly.

"They can be trained." Jon argued back. "They will be trained."

Daenerys tried to deflect the matter, "What did your lord father say? Did he agree?"

Jon kept a frown on, "he did not disagree to you being there."

"It is settled then. I will be there." Daenerys commented.

Jon shook his head, "I cannot let you do that."

Daenerys frowned and stood up, "You will not stop me. I am going to the Wall. Nothing you say will change that."

Jon fell on the furs. "You are not thinking right."

Daenerys huffed, "I am too. You are being stupid by thinking you can stop me from going." She went back to bed and watched as he frowned at the ceiling.

"You are bloody pigheaded." He pouted. She found him infuriating and endearing. Daenerys kissed his pout.

"I will be by your side. It is stupid to think I will do any fighting." She rolled her eyes and rested on his chest. He kissed her forehead. "Is that why you did not come in earlier?" Daenerys asked while kissing his chest.

"In part. I had to talk to uncle Tryion." He yawned.

"About." She yawned as well.

"The castle. Mother stayed with father and she will not be of any help. She stays glued to father's side every time he visits. They are rather affectionate." Jon shuddered.

Daenerys chuckled. "I cannot see your parents being improper."

Jon harrumphed, "They are incredibly inappropriate; trust me once you see them in such a state you will wish to unsee that." They laughed and proceeded to be improper until he had to leave. Daenerys was tired the morning after and took a nap in the middle of the day after Tommen left with her unsullied.
