Chapitre 113: Chapter 98 Unchanged!_1

A blue sun rose above the ocean surface. At first, it was quite small, but then it expanded rapidly, its light even surpassing the original sun for a time.

A little girl near the roadside at the Port of Barcelona looked curiously at the blue sun.

"Mom, why is there another sun there? And it's blue," she asked.

The woman looked up with a face full of doubt and surprise.

People at the port gazed at the strange sight on the sea, exchanging amazed looks, none understanding what had happened.

The massive ship emitted a blue light, and soon people saw the small blue orb, as the ship was becoming transparent, resembling a transparent model suspended above the orb. It quickly collapsed as if melting, and oddly, as it collapsed, all parts of the ship were drawn towards the fusion center, the entire vessel being sucked into the orb like into a vortex, leaving no trace or debris behind.

After the disappearance of the giant ship, the orb continued to grow, and soon there appeared the image of a blue sun over the port. When it stopped expanding, its radius reached two hundred meters. Only at this distance did the energy of the grand fusion show selectivity, while within this range, due to the extremely high energy density, everything would be destroyed.

The blue sun maintained its largest state for about half a minute; during this period, it was very stable. Coupled with the eerie calm enveloping everything, it gave off a sense of eternity, as if it had been there since the birth of the world.

The sky became transparent, the grand fusion was silent, and the entire port was submerged in its blue light, making this world seem foreign and bizarre.

This was a cold sun, emitting no warmth that people could feel.

Finally, a sound broke the silence: a faint crackling coming from people's bodies, the sound of internal electronic chips in smartphones being destroyed.

Someone looked up at the sky and screamed; they saw a large passenger plane falling from the sky like a bird that had lost its power, its electronic control systems and engines totally failed after the onboard electronic chips were destroyed.

An old man glanced at the plane crashing into the city and uttered with emotion,

"The world is changing indeed," he said.

At that moment, the blue sun evaporated in the blink of an eye, as if it had never appeared. People saw that everything at the fusion point had vanished without a trace. There was a semicircular gap with a radius of two hundred meters at the Port of Barcelona, filled by seawater, with very smooth edges, reflecting the blue of the sea.

At the same time, the raging energy of the grand fusion was spreading in all directions. First, it hit Spain, then the Ou Continent, America, South America, Africa, and it spread as far as the Silver Capital of Asia before it was finally halted by the massive amount of chips consumed along the way.

This grand fusion, targeting chips for energy release, dragged a significant part of Earth back to the agrarian age.

Only xxx was lucky enough to survive.

The more advanced the xx, the greater the impact it suffered. The world order is about to face a major reshuffle!

The destruction of chips first led to various modern facilities suddenly going offline, with power generation and supply systems completely paralyzed, and water and gas supplies also ceased.

Those in the middle of cooking realized that not only was the gas gone, but the electricity and water were gone too.

Those who were bathing or shampooing, just after applying shower gel or shampoo, also cried.

Doctors and patients in hospitals were thrown into panic—all medical instruments went dark, including life-sustaining ventilators and life monitoring systems, turning ICU rooms instantly into the realm of the God of Death.

The hospital initially thought it was just a simple power outage and prepared to start the diesel engines, but found they wouldn't start. They tried to call for help, only to find that phones and cellphones had all gone dark.

The worst affected were those in the middle of surgery. Many lost their lives on the spot as life-support equipment failed, and those who didn't die were left with barely a breath. The doctors wanted to save them, but it was pitch black in the operating rooms, and they couldn't see anything. They tried all possible sources of light—flashlights, emergency lights—but all electronic devices had failed.

The doctors wanted to continue the operations but could only relocate the patients outdoors from the operating room, and in doing so, the patients' flickering lives were nearly extinguished. Moreover, none of the electronic medical equipment was functional, which gave them a feeling of being thrown back into ancient times.

Those who were traveling in vehicles fared somewhat better; unlike the cars of the future with electronic throttles and brakes, they could still stop their cars.

But those on airplanes experienced a tragedy; they fell from the sky along with the plane in free fall.

In the skyscrapers, computer screens went black, and the office drones were shocked, thinking it was a virus at first, only to realize that everyone's computer around them was also dead.

Students in schools cheered, oblivious to the fact that they were not facing a simple power cut but a major upheaval.

The leaders of various countries wanted to react immediately, but found all communication devices had failed, even satellite phones were broken. Each became isolated within its own region, cut off from each other, from upper to lower levels of government.

The military also experienced a brief confusion, but thanks to the discipline of regular training, it quickly settled down.

They faced the same problems, unable to contact any other departments, and even within their own forces, they could only communicate by walking and shouting. They wanted to drive, but found that the vehicles couldn't be started; the electronic chips controlling the engines had turned to ash. Fighter jets and aircraft carriers became piles of scrap metal, and both the air and naval forces were stripped of combat capability.

Not only that, but all kinds of weapons that relied on satellite systems and electronic chips, the high-tech armaments of the information age, had been paralyzed. Missiles, nuclear weapons, radars, etc., were out of operation, with only firearms still functional.

The social financial system was paralyzed. The numbers in people's bank accounts became a mystery, and virtual assets like stocks were unknowable. Banks didn't know how much assets you had, or how much balance was in your account.

The good news was that loans no longer needed to be repaid; the bad news was that the money in the banks was gone.

The transportation supply system was paralyzed; all sorts of vehicles lay around the city unable to start, and logistics came to a complete halt.

All modern urban facilities were rendered useless, with refrigerators, televisions, and various household appliances only good for scrap.

This was no longer a return to the era before electricity. This was an instantaneous leap back to ancient times, an era where travel relied solely on walking, communication on shouting, security mostly on dogs, and entertainment mainly on one's own hands.

In the city of Barcelona, Spain.

An ordinary person's account,

My name is Gina. I was working at home when suddenly my computer screen went out. I thought it was just a regular blackout, but when I found the phone wouldn't turn on and the car wouldn't start either, I went to ask my neighbors.

When I stepped outside, there were explosions and flashes of fire everywhere, smoke filled the air, as if war had broken out.

My God! What on Earth had happened?

Nobody could tell us what had happened. I only saw people frantically looting food and property from each shop on the streets.
