Chapitre 4: Little Garden
(3rd Person POV)
*BOOM*
*BANG*
*POW*
"Excellent, monkey. Any more of this and we'll truly be brothers, Bwahahahahaha.", Garp was currently fighting against the Humandrill he had abducted from Kuraigana Island. And he was not disappointed at all. The Humandrill could truly learn anything he saw Garp do. So in order to grow stronger while they were fighting, Garp showed him the Rokushiki. Indeed, not long after that, the Humandrill also began to use the Rokushiki, and they fought. It was something Garp really enjoyed.
To think that there were animals who were this talented. They clashed their fists against one another. One punch after the other was changed. Garp relished this experience and thought he might make this Humandrill his second in command when he got his own ship. But if he meets Bogard, he would make the Humandrill his third in command.
*BOOOM*
Both of their fists hit the other one's face. Garp was just brawling at this point. Using Rokushiki was good, but he preferred punching as hard as he could. The combination was probably the best way for him to fight.
*PURU PURU PURU*
Garp heard his Den Den Mushi ringing. So he decided to end the fight there. He used 'Tekkai' and then punched the Humandrill as hard as he could, knocking him out. He took a towel and cleaned himself a bit, before taking the Den Den Mushi.
"Me here, who's there?"
"Garp, it's me Kong."
"Oh, Kong how are you doing?"
"I already told you to call me more formally. Anyway, I have heard a certain rumour that I thought you might want to know about."
"Sure let's hear it.", Garp says and walks to the kitchen to get something to eat. He had stocked up on food before he left Kuraigana Island. You never know when you might see another island again. So he went and grabbed a pack of Senbei and sat down in a deck chair.
"I got a call from Shikkearu Kingdom about a Marine defeating all the Pirates that had attacked them. Was that you perchance?"
"Hm? *Crunch* Yes that was me. What about it?"
"Are ... are you eating while talking to me?"
"*Crunch* no ... "
"*Sigh* Anyway there was something else that they told me. Apparently, the brute that the Navy sent first fought against a horde of Pirates, defeating them one after the other and then dared to appear in front of the King stinking like a Buffalo."
"Bwahahahahaha"
"And then this Marine, who we shall not name, insulted the advisor and sat at the ceremony table and started to push food into his mouth while having no table manners at all! But that's not all. This Marine heard about a race of Mandrills on the island and when they were nice enough to show them to him, he simply STOLE ONE AND LEFT!!!"
"... That wasn't me."
"WHO ARE YOU KIDDING? YOU JUST SAID YOU WERE THERE!!!"
"You must have misheard."
"GAARRRP!! What sort of bullshit did you do? You are embarrassing the Marines here. You will continue your mission like you were told and stop messing with any royalties, understood?!!"
"*Crunch* ... what if they have food?"
"GARP!!"
*Click*
"Hm, where am I now? I should reach Little Garden soon. I am interested to see that place.", Garp says and steers his ship in the right direction. He has been hunting pirates for a while now and he feels that a break would be appropriate. So why not go to Little Garden and visit the two Giants there? They are bound to know Haki and if he can have them spar with him, he can surely learn it.

So Garp makes his way to Little Garden and docks his ship there. Without thinking about it further, he begins to make his way to the centre, followed by the Humandrill. He still needs a name for the mandrill, but he can't think of one. As he makes his way towards the centre, Garp meets a giant dinosaur blocking his path. It is a carnivore. The dinosaur is roaring at Garp and then begins to run towards him.
Garp looks at the dinosaur unimpressed. He pulls back his fist and then uses both 'Soru' and 'Geppo' to appear in front of the dinosaur's head. And then he punches the dinosaur's head full force.
*BOOOM*
The punch causes the dinosaur's head to bend inwards and his eyes to pop out of his skull. Blood vessels pop and blood flows out of all orifices. Garp lands on the ground and looks at the dinosaurs. That was his full strength right there. It seems like the beasts on the Grand Line are truly good for training. He has a big grin on his face, as he has just found the island where he will achieve Haki. He won't leave here until he has unlocked it. He can feel that he is rather close to unlocking it anyway.
"GEGYAGYAGYAGYA! Aren't you a lively one! I haven't had any guests in a long time!", a booming voice says. Garp turns around and sees a Giant standing in front of him, towering above the trees.
"Ooooh, you're huge. Are you a Giant?", Garp asks. He has stars in his eyes right now. After all, who doesn't wish to see Giants when he comes to One Piece?
"GEGYAGYAGYAGYA! I'm Elbaf's strongest warrior, Dorry!
"Strongest warrior? That's perfect timing, then.", Garp says and smiles.
"Oh? You don't believe that?"
"No, I believe you. But I'm the strongest warrior in the world, at least in the future."
"GEGYAGYAGYAGYA! Aren't you a proud one, I like that! GEGYAGYAGYAGYA!"
"BWAHAHAHAHAHA"

20 minutes later the two of them are eating the dinosaur meat that Garp killed and Dorry cooked. Garp has offered Dorry some alcohol he had on his ship because he doesn't drink any himself. They got along instantly as they were made of the same wood.
"This is really good, Dorry.", Garp says as he munches on a giant piece of the dinosaur meat.
"Gegyagyagyagya! And your mead is good too, although it is a little small for my tastes, better than nothing."
"So why are you living here alone, Dorry? Did you lose a fight against someone or something? Don't you want to stay in Elbaf?", Garp asks him, even though he knows the story.
"I do want to live in Elbaf. It is a village for warriors like us and located somewhere in the second half of the Grand Line. But my village has a certain law. If a quarrel breaks out in my village and you can't settle it on your own, then we beseech our god Elbaf for his judgement.
Elbaf is just and bestows divine protection on those in the right. He'll ensure the survival of the righteous. I've gotten involved in a quarrel myself, and this island has served as the battleground between me and a certain other Giant. The one who's in the right shall triumph and survive.
But it's been almost 50 years since! We just can't seem to settle our duel! Gegyagyagya!", Dorry explained.
"Bwahahahahaha, that is funny! To fight for nearly 50 years and still not be able to decide a winner. It looks like you two are equally strong."
"That's impossible. One of us will win in the end and that is a fact. Otherwise, we can't settle our quarrel.", Dorry says.
"I see, it's a matter of pride, then."
"YES! I see that you have the warrior spirit. That's good."
*BRROOOOOMMMM*
"Looks like it's about time ..."
"Time? Time for what?"
"Not sure when we exactly decided it, but the eruption of that middle volcano, is the signal for battle.", Dorry says and grabs his ginormous sword and shield and attacks the second Giant that is running towards him.
"It's about pride and we forgot the reason ... ages ago!"
*BOOOOOM*

(Garp POV)
I watch the two Giants fight it out and destroy the surroundings in their bout. They are massive and the strength they both possess is impressive. I can tell that they are stronger than most in this world. To think that they are some of the top fighters in the world and that only because of their massive size and culture.
My blood begins to boil right here. I have a big smile on my face. Such strength, and I can reach that as well.
"Don't you long for our home, Dorry?"
"That's exactly why I'll crush you today and leave for Elbaf at once, Brogy!"
They are equally matched and their strength is equal as well. They go back and forth, fighting using their full strength. Until they both punch each other with their shields at the same time and once again draw.
"33'582 fights ..."
"... and 33'582 draws.", they say as they fall to the ground.
So it is true, they fight about two times a day and if that is true, they have been here for about 46 years.
"Gegyagyagya! Brogy, I got some mead from a guest!"
"Gabababa! Excellent! I haven't had mead in a long time! Pour me some, will ya!?"
The two exchange some of the mead I gave Dorry and then separate again. I take this time to ask Dorry for a fight.
"Oi, Dorry. Let's fight!"
"Huh? Gegyagyagya! You are quite a lively one. But I have the challenge going on with Brogy, and so I can't interrupt that right now."
"Is that so? Then how about I challenge both of you? It would be equal then, no?"
"Hmm, I think so. But why do you want to do that? Aren't there any other pirates out there for you to hunt, little Marine?", Dorry asks.
"Sure, but I want to learn Haki and you two are far stronger than the ones I find in Paradise right now. So I want to fight you two and one day defeat you as well."
"Gegyagyagya! You think big, young Garp, I like that. Very well then, let's fight. And after that, you will have to challenge Brogy.", he says and we prepare ourselves for the fight.

*BOOOOM*
"Kkkuuu", I grunt and hit the ground hard. I expected not to win, but this is a strength on another level. And still, I smile. This is exactly what I wanted.
"Bwahahahahahaha"
"Gegyagyagyagya. You are a strong little human. And you're so young too."
In the fight, I had to rely on the Rokushiki, mostly 'Geppo' to even reach his height. That took a lot of concentration, but it was worth it. I asked Dorry to use Haki in our fight and he did. I got absolutely pommeled. It was worth it though. I got my first insight into Busoshoku Haki. The Giant packs quite a punch. I did manage to hit him though, as I found out, the Giants don't really like to dodge attacks. They much rather block it or take the hit to the body.
The feeling I got when fighting Dorry is helpful for my path forward. I will stay here and fight these two daily, as well as the dinosaurs. I can train both Busoshoku and Kenbunshoku Haki here. So that's what I'll do.
"Now you have to fight Brogy. Can you do that?", Dorry asks me.
"Of course.", I say.
One of my 'superpowers' is limitless stamina. There is nothing quite like that when you plan on going to strong worlds and fighting strong people. Thankfully, I can switch it off, so I can train by having it turned off and then turn it back on afterwards when I fight someone else. So now I turn it on for a moment and instantly, my stamina is full again.
Then I turn it back off and walk over to Brogy to challenge him as well. Thanks to his warrior pride, he won't decline my challenge, especially when Dorry tells him about our fight and that I lost against him. These two don't want to be outdone in anything.
"Oi, Brogy! I challgene you to a fight!"
