Albeit slowly, Ren somehow managed to swallow everything on the plate before opening his mouth, "Terim, how long have you known Griffin?"

Terim replied as he placed the hair dryer on the bedside table, "Since I was one year old. He was practically my nanny, you know. I used to mess with his homework all the time. One time, I almost made him fail an exam because of my fever because that idiot stayed with me all night."

Ren chuckled softly, imagining a younger Terim causing chaos in Griffin's life. "He sounds like a really good person."

"He is," Terim agreed, a fond smile playing on his lips as he told many such stories.

Ren listened carefully to Terim speaking about his childhood with a silly smile in those honey-brown eyes. As he had guessed, they really knew each other for a very long time.

"I didn't expect Griffin to live in a castle," Ren joked. This was the first place he had lived other than his tiny room and the hospital.
