I can't delay any longer; I have to face the reality that we have now arrived at the Alexander Smith family mansion. Brandon invited me to get out of the car, and I immediately clung to his arm. He glanced at me with a smile.

What is this? Is he smiling at me? Doesn't he know my heart feels like it's about to jump out of my chest? My legs are so weak, I don't want to keep walking.

"I know you're scared; this is an adrenaline-pumping activity for us," he whispered, his gaze so relaxed.

"I wish I could run away..." I whispered, swallowing hard as I looked at the front door. "You know my thoughts right now... They're terrifying."

"Everything will be fine... No one will dare cause trouble while my grandparents are here," he said again, then looked back at the front door. "Let's go in... I can't wait any longer!"
