Not long after, Drexel returned with two ship tickets in hand. As he approached, the policewoman scolded him, "How could you leave your sister alone to buy tickets? Two thugs came by and harassed her!"
Drexel, scratching his head, looked puzzled. "Oh, are those thugs okay? Do we need to compensate them?"
The policewoman's anger flared. She felt sorry for Arix, such a sweet girl, stuck with a clueless brother like him.
Instead of worrying about his sister, the boy was concerned about the thugs!
After some stern criticism, Drexel finally admitted he was wrong.
Satisfied, the policewoman huffed and turned to Arix gently. "I'll leave now. If you run into any danger again, don't count on your brother. Call the police right away."
She cast another disdainful glance at Drexel before shaking her head and leaving.
Arix smiled and waved goodbye to the policewoman, then she couldn't help laughing out once she was gone.
