Marla frowned as she watched Devon drain the life essence of the rest of the fairies they had captured and detained in the dungeon. As days passed, the demon king grew weary under the looming threat of the King of Ebodia.

"Is he truly that powerful now?" Marla dared to ask, her voice tinged with concern as she witnessed the fairies turning to stone after Devon's sinister ritual.

"Yes, so we must remain vigilant. He will come for me," Devon grunted, his expression dark and foreboding. Emerging from the dungeon, they were met by panting royal guards who urgently delivered unsettling news.

"He's here. He breached the barrier and is advancing through the castle hallways, My Lord!" they reported, their fear palpable.

A predatory glint flickered in Devon's eyes as it turned all black he issued his command in a voice dripping with menace. "All of you, kill the intruder."
