"The moment you sent Bristom on that mission, failure was already assured." Kanagi Wol, the head of the spy guild all but declared in the face of the five tribal heads that were present at the round table.

To many in the room, especially to those sitting at the audience, Kanagi's declaration was an insult, one that could have easily had his head rolling. Except Kanagi had always been that tenacious. He had zero regard for the laws, nor for standing.

He asserted that he bowed to no one but the High Lord. Tribal heads meant nothing to the man, not even when his uncle was one.

"I believe the High Prince already knows his errors. Are we not way past it?" Tribal Head Haremed sneered.
