The Beast Butcher collapsed to the ground, his body lifeless but free from the dark possession that had tormented him. One of Lirael's Brigade members, a young girl with a stern face, immediately rushed to his side, checking his pulse and ensuring he was still alive.

"Hells!" Jared grunted. "What are you all doing staring?! Get outta there, now! I gave you those Prison Spheres for a reason."
