The wind slapped against his face, his hair and his scarf danced behind like flags of determination, his feet were planted deep and steady on the scales of the three-headed dragon, and his eyes glistened with granite.

Spheris stood on top of the Gehennarac who he had named Vexarion, his hands holding a shadow tendril that he had tied tightly on its central horns. And he had never been more determined yet frightened to battle a beast.

Sensing the flapping of the Gehennarac's wings, the Frostfire turned around and saw the giant winged lizard speeding towards it like a shadow spear.

Spheris held tightly to his tendril and cried, "Vexarion! Middle head!" The loyal shadow beast responded with a thunderous roar, throat bulging as it readied itself.

"Burn!!!" Spheris commanded.

Vexarion immediately unleashed a torrent of black fire out of its mouth, engulfing the Firefrost with scorching Umbrage.
