Chapter XX: Failsafe.

Now.
Mount Justice; October 16, 16:01 EDT.
Kage stood with the Team, minus Mary Marvel was watching several reports of an alien invasion attacking the globe with several League members being killed as they were zapped by a yellow beam. Zatara came up on a monitor to talk to Red Tornado for a moment before ending the transmission.
"I must join the League. We must protect the Planet at all costs...But should we fail..." Red Tornado trailed off as Naruto walked forward.
"We'll stand in their way, and finish the job you started."
As Red Tornado left, Naruto turned to a report from Central City. He saw Flash's wife Iris, a woman with red hair pulled into a ponytail standing near destroyed buildings.
"This is Iris West-Allen reporting live from Central City where the Aliens are-!" She stopped as the ships attacked the group of people behind her before a red flash came over the screen, and she was gone.
Suddenly, the screen was engulfed in yellow light and showed Iris standing with Flash and Zatara on a rooftop.
It panned out to show Cat Grant at the studio before an alien ship came up behind Iris. "Iris! Iris! Get out of there! I'm sorry... We're experiencing... Technical difficulties from our Central City team… We'll be sure to keep you up to date..."
Naruto turned her out as he looked to Kid Flash, who looked calm. 'I thought he would be a little shaken up seeing his Aunt and Uncle... Going out of action, I have this feeling...But I can't place it.'
He thought rubbing his forehead before seeing reports of each League Member getting shot by the same yellow beams. He clenched his fists seeing Wonder Woman getting shot in Smallville before hearing Red Tornado speak up through their earpieces. "Team... I fear I'm all that's left of the Lea-" The transmission was cut as Naruto sighed.
"Team... We're Earth's Last hope of survival. Robin, bring up satellite feed. Let's try to isolate a lone ship, and take its weapon to use against them."
A large virtual Earth came up with large red spots in every continent. "What's with that one?" Superboy asked seeing one small dot near the North Pole.
"That's Superman's Fortress of Solitude," Robin replied, making Superboy blink.
"Superman has a Fortress of Solitude?" Robin nodded as he continued.
"Its power source must have attracted their attention. At least enough to send a scout."
Naruto cursed before speaking up. "Superman has a lot of stuff in there, besides animals from extinct planets..."
"He may have something that can attack them. Too bad we can't get inside."
Fortress Of Solitude.
A ship hovered just in front of the metal door with Superman's shield on it.

A few feet away hiding behind some ice, is Naruto and Artemis, both wearing white versions of their costumes with a white winter coat, with the hood pulled up, and light grey pants and boots. "Now!" Naruto thought as Miss Martian in her camouflage mode flew over the ship.
She telekinetically ripped off one of the engines and had it fall to the ground. "Communications and flight, disabled." She replied, as both Naruto, and Artemis jumped out, and shot an arrow at the red 'eye' of the ship having cement come out and cover it.
"And they are sealed inside," Artemis said as Naruto pulled her out of the way of the cannon blasts.
Aqualad jumped out of the ice, his tattoos glowing, and landed on the ship as Superboy, Wonder Girl, and Wolf attacked disabling the cannon. Kid Flash, Spoiler, Starfire, and Robin ran over as Superboy held the cannon still. "Identifying the weapons structural weak points...Here, here, and here." Robin pointed out before Starfire blasted the cannon's weak points, enabling Superboy to rip it off.
Wolf's ears perked up before turning to see wires from the cannon spark. He jumped up and knocked Superboy out of the way before being hit and disintegrated by the same yellow beam. "Wolf," he said solemnly, with Wonder Girl placing her hands on his shoulders.
"We'll avenge him, Conner, I promise." Naruto and Artemis walked over as Miss Martian brought the Bio-Ship over, and started integrating the cannon on her.
Naruto suddenly looked up and saw two more ships flying towards them, and cursed. "Shit! Everyone inside now!" He ordered, before shooting two explosive arrows at the ships, having one crash as Artemis ran ahead.
Naruto saw the cannon of the ship aim at Artemis, and his eyes widened. Pulling out a Hiraishin (Flying Thunder God) arrow, Naruto shot it past her and disappeared in a flash.
"Artemis!" Miss Martian yelled, seeing the beam coming at her.
Artemis turned around, only for a hand to grab her arm, and throw her over at Wonder Girl. Artemis looked on wide-eyed as she saw a smiling Naruto take the blast meant for her, and disintegrate right before her eyes.
"NARUTO/DAD!" Miss Martian, Artemis, and Wonder Girl yelled out before Aqualad destroyed the ship.
Later, the Team sat in the Bio-Ship as Artemis and Miss Martian tried their hardest to hold in their tears, as for Wonder Girl, she sat in the back, knees pulled to her chest. "Donna?" She looked up to see Superboy staring down at her in concern, and moved to put a hand on her shoulder. "Are you al-" He stopped as she suddenly grabbed his hand, and shot up.
"NO! No, I am not alright! I just saw my father die in front of me!" She yelled as her eyes glowed red, and became slit.
"Donna...You're hurting me."
Donna looked down to see red chakra cover her hand before shaking her head. She let go of Superboy and turned around. "I'm sorry, Conner. I'm still getting used to Kurama's chakra, it's hard to focus through all the rage... Especially when you add your own to it."
She said tearfully. Conner then wrapped his arms around her shoulders and hugged her tightly, with Donna clutching her hand to his arm.
Hall Of Justice; October 16, 19:15 EDT.
Superboy, back in his original costume jumped out of the Bio-Ship, and onto another Alien's, and started bashing into it, as the rest of the Team shot down another two. They landed and saw the Army talking to Superboy, thinking that he was Superman. "I'm not Superman." He replied as Wonder Girl walked past them towards the Hall of Justice, her eyes shadowed by her hair.
Superboy tried walking over, only for a hand to stop him. "Give her a moment." He looked to see that Spoiler was the one holding him. "She just lost both her parents today, one right in front of her eyes. Believe me, nothing you do, or say now will help her instantly get past that."
Wonder Girl walked inside and looked up at the destroyed statues of the original eight. She looked at the one of her father that was missing the head before walking over. The Team and the Army walked inside, as Miss Martian flew over to her Uncle's head that's on the floor and winced for a moment. She then gasped before flying up and moving it.
"Uncle J'onn!" She yelled seeing Martian Manhunter holding his head.
"Wait. Miss Martian, scan his mind." Aqualad said, stopping Miss Martian from flying to J'onn.
"It's him." She replied flying over and helped her Uncle up.
J'onn groaned as he explains he doesn't remember how he got to the Hall of Justice as Kid Flash slapped his forehead, and took Robin outside. They scanned the cannon and found out that it uses the same energy as the Zeta tubes. "Dude! The cannon gives off Zeta radiation! This thing doesn't disintegrate, it teleports! Naruto is alive! And so is everyone else!"
The two were way into their conversation that they didn't notice the invading ships coming their way. "GET DOWN!" Robin yelled pushing Kid Flash Down.
"Robin! Kid Flash! Look out!" Spoiler and Starfire yelled, throwing shurikens and star bolts at the oncoming ships before being hit by a beam the same time the Bio-Ship was.
"Stephanie/Kori!" Kid Flash and Robin yelled out before hearing Miss Martian's voice.
"That...That didn't feel like-" She stopped as Robin, Kid Flash, the remaining heroes, and the Army ran in and started evacuating everyone out through the zeta tube at the 'Members Only' door.
Mount Justice October 16, 22:30 EDT.
"Our mission's clear," Robin said to the Team, minus Aqualad, who sacrificed himself getting J'onn through the zeta tube. "If the aliens are abducting people. Then the only reasonable detention facility would be the Mother ship in Smallville, Kansas." He said, before turning to J'onn and bringing up an image of the mother ship.
"J'onn, does this ring any bells?" The Martian blinked and rubbed his head.
"Uh, no. I'm sorry." Robin then turned to Conner.
"You'll need to be a diversion, Superboy." Wonder Girl's eyes widened at that.
"No! He's sacrificing you." Superboy pulled her to the side as she continued. "I've already lost my family, I'm not losing my boy-Mmph!"
She was silenced by Superboy, who kissed her. "I know, Donna... But this is what Superman would do." She looked to the ground before pulling him back over.
"Then I'm going too. It's what my parents would do as well." She replied, making Robin sigh.
"Well, from what I've seen, you've got their collective stubbornness... Alright, let's g-"
"Wait!" Donna interrupted Robin, thus gaining everyone's attention.
"I...Might have an idea on what to do next." Robin was anxious to get the initial plan going, especially when the longer they wait the more people are abducted but gestured her to continue. "Well...I remember dad telling me stories about the world where he originated from and that it was threatened by an overwhelming force."
"This had caused all of the militarized forces to pool in their resources and shinobi/kunoichi armies to create the Allied Ninja Force, to do what one shinobi village couldn't do alone."
"Somewhat like the Justice League?" Wally asked. Donna nodded and continued.
"Yes, but with a force of roughly 80,000+ stronger. It was made up of ninjas from the five great villages with some of the minor ones. All of them had been at each other's throats for generations, and the tensions between them all were great. But with their lives being threatened to be extinguished and enslaved, they had to put their problems aside and work together to save their future."
Robin slapped his forehead on the realization. "I think I know where this is going...But you can't be serious." He saw how serious she was and knew that she was not joking at all.
"Hey, for those who don't know what she means, mind explaining?" asked Kid Flash. Artemis caught on and explained.
"She means that we need to rally everyone, whether they're hero, villain, or neutral. Like with the prisoners and inmates at Arkham, Blackgate, Belle Reve and various other prisons to be used as an army against the aliens!"
"Not just the prisoners," said Donna, "But the League of Shadows, the forces of Atlantis, and any other recruits we can scrape up across the globe."
"That seems impossible," said Conner with his arms crossed, "You know as much as I do that they won't cooperate at all." Wally turned to Conner and replied.
"Well, what choice do we, or for that matter they, have? This is their world too and I doubt that any of them want to give up without a fight. I agree with Donna on this one."
Donna nodded and turned to the others. "We need to contact everyone and rally them up. Wally, get a video feed set up on all frequencies, around the world if possible. We need to contact any and everyone that we can. Everyone else split up. M'gann, go to Atlantis through the Zeta tube and tell whoever is in charge at the moment to tell them our plans."
"Robin, go to Belle Reve and talk to Warden Strange, explain what's going on to not only him but the prisoners as well. Conner., head to Cadmus and rally up the Genomorphs to fight for us. Artemis, contact the League of Shadows and get them to help out. J'onn, for now, you'll need your rest, to better prepare for the coming fight."
Everyone stood and stared at Donna as if she had grown a second head. She glared back at all of them and yelled. "Well, what are you all waiting for!? Go, go, go!" They shook themselves out of their stupor and went to do their assignments.
"Well, it seems you inherited more from Naruto than I thought." Donna turned to Artemis with an impressed look.
"Well, I just channeled my inner 'Naruto' there and did what I had to do." Artemis nodded and replied while heading to the Zeta tube.
"He would be proud of you, Donna. So would your Mother." Donna smiled at that and went to get things ready for the coming fight.
Smallville; October 16, 23:55 EDT.
"Ready?" Robin asked Superboy and Wonder Girl, who has a headband with a metal plate, and a leaf design on it tied around her head, nodded.

"Ready. Give the signal to everyone. Start the assault." Across the globe, the various armies and forces were given the order to attack without restraint on the alien forces all at once.
While this was going across the planet, the team jumped over as Martian Manhunter and Miss Martian flew inside while camouflaged. After a few moments, ships flew out as Kid Flash dashed with Robin to the Mother ship as Artemis shot a zip line, and went inside.
Superboy ripped off a cannon and attacked the Mother ship as Wonder Girl flew up, and created a big Rasengan (Spiraling Sphere). "Odama Rasengan (Big Ball Spiraling Sphere)." She created a large dent, before seeing several ships come out, and hit Superboy with the beam. Suddenly, red chakra energy covered Wonder Girl, and her eyes turned red for a moment.
"... Kurama?" She thought before hearing a snort.
"Yes, Kit. It's me...Sorry for the delay...It took time for me to reform after Naruto...Well anyway, you'll need the use of my power to take out the bastards that killed him, Diana, and Conner." The chakra started to grow darker as Wonder Girl's hair became more wild-looking, forming pseudo tails, and her canines grew.
"RRRAAAAAHH!"
Red chakra covered Wonder Girl as she suddenly grew more chakra tails, and her skin turned dark red and started to peel off. With that, the chakra became denser and formed an appearance equal to that of a demonic fox.

She created a small black ball in her mouth before shooting it at ten ships and destroying them all before another flew at her.
Kyuubified Wonder Girl jumped on the ship before creating another bijuudama (tailed beast bomb).
BOOM!
Another ship rammed into the one she was on, destroying them all as the ball of fire fell to the ground.
The Team and Martian Manhunter.
They hid from more ships before running down the hall and met up with the others just as Miss Martian fell to her knees. "Oh no...They're both gone." Kid Flash walked over to her as Artemis sighed sadly as she looked over to Robin, who nodded sadly. She started walking to the core as Martian Manhunter explained that the others really are dead.
They made it to the core, only to get pulled towards it by a strong gravitational force. Artemis shot a rope arrow and stopped as Robin shot his grappling gun. The Martian Duo stopped on the platform they hooked on to and lowered them down. They saw Robin, and Artemis put bombs on the core before leaving.
As they went to the door, they were suddenly surrounded by sentry robots that proceeded to attack. "Fifteen seconds... You two go, we'll catch up after we blow the doors." Robin ordered J'onn and Miss Martian, who flew outside.
BOOM!
J'onn and M'gann watched the explosion before she sighed. "It's over..." She stopped as a larger ship came down, and took the previous ship's place.
She turned around, only for J'onn to stab her with his arm, turning it into a blade.
Mount Justice; October 16, 16:21 EDT.
M'gann woke up with a gasp before seeing her, and the others are on metal slabs in the training area as Red Tornado and Captain Marvel were helping the others, as they were sweating and groaning.
"You're alive!" She exclaimed as Batman was helping J'onn stand.
"What happened?" He asked as Naruto slowly got up.
"Oh that's right it was a train-" He stopped as Donna tackled him to the floor.
"You're alive!"
Naruto sat up and hugged her. "It's alright baby girl."
She sniffed before hugging him harder. "For once Dad, I don't mind you calling me that." She said as Batman explained that they were in a training exercise that had J'onn link their minds together, and didn't tell them that it was a scenario where everything in a mission went wrong.
"Still, you were all aware nothing was real. The deaths of the League, Wolf. At least until Naruto sacrificed himself for Artemis."
J'onn picked up after Batman. "M'gann's subconscious was convinced it was real once Naruto 'died', and took control, and made all of you forget also." M'gann looked on in shock before seeing Naruto walk over.
Tears rolled down her face as she flew away down the hall. Naruto sighed before looking at Batman. "And the reason you never told me was?" Batman just stared at him for a moment. "Oh don't give me that look, Batman. Kurama,..." Naruto trailed off seeing a sleeping Kurama on the couch, talking in his sleep about destruction and getting some tail.
"Okay, ignoring that... He could have broken us all out safely. You killing M'gann could have sent all of us into a vegetative state, one where even Kurama would have only gotten me out of. For someone who has a plan from A to 'Z' for everything, you dropped the ball on this one." Naruto finished, walking away as J'onn spoke to Batman in a whisper.
"Make no mistake. My Niece is untrained, and cannot be held responsible for this... For OUR debacle." He said as Batman nodded.
"No one blames her... But we underestimated her abilities."
J'onn looked to where Naruto walked away before continuing. "In terms of raw power... She has the strongest telepathic mind I have ever come across. Stronger by far, than mine." They never noticed Kurama's ears perk up, or him opening one eye before closing it and going back to sleep.
Naruto walked to M'gann's room where he heard her sobbing. He walked inside and closed the door. "Go away." He heard her muffled voice before walking to the bed, where she's laying face down on. He sat down beside her and stroked her back.
"I'm not leaving you... I'll never leave you M'gann."
"But... But I was..." She stopped as Naruto leaned down, and kissed the back of her neck.
"No... You didn't know what the training was at the time. Besides, it was your subconscious that tapped into your powers. You just have to train your mind, that's all you have to do to make sure nothing like this will happen again." He turned her around and picked her up. He kissed both of her cheeks getting the tears that stained them.
"There's nothing you can ever do that'll make me stop loving you." He pulled her so she was straddling him, and gave her another kiss making her moan. As he pulled back, his hands drifted lower to grope her ass. She gasped just as the door opened up, to show Artemis walking inside, and narrow her eyes. "And just want do you think you're doing?"
"Nothing," Naruto replied until Artemis pointed at his hands.
"Really? It seems to me like you're corrupting M'gann." She replied before walking over and yanked Naruto out by his ear.
"Ow, ow, ow, Artemis, dear, honey! That hurts like hell, OW!" He yelled as she twisted it harder.
"No buts, I'm not going to have you corrupt sweet little M'gann… At least until she's eighteen." She finished as Naruto grinned.
"She's technically in her forties." A blushing M'gann watched as her sister took Naruto out before closing the door.
As Naruto was being pulled away, Artemis told him a better rundown of what occurred in the simulation and Naruto could not have been more proud of his daughter than before. She was strong and had stepped up to be the leader that was needed in a desperate situation.
Even having to pull an idea from the tales he told her about the 4th Shinobi War and was glad he did tell her that to help them out in that situation. He will need to talk to her later since it is obvious that she will need to be cheered up from her current state. No doubt Diana will want to know about this whole situation. 'Boy, is Batman gonna be getting an earful from her.'
