More shocked than Alix at the extravagance of the Tai family in welcoming Alix was Caishen. When he saw the golden statue, he scoffed and shook his head. 

It was all gold, pure gold which was worth millions. If anybody had been doubting the love old man Tai had for Alix, they would not be doing so anymore after seeing the statue. 

It still blew Caishen's mind that the Tai's, all of them had accepted Alix so easily. It was very unusual for any normal wealthy family to accept an adult non blood relative into their fold, let alone spend this much on them without any other expectations.

Biming lowered the window of the car on his side and he said, "Ah, so this is the statue which caused the tears. I don't know why your wife got all teary about it but i wouldn't mind having one. Do you think the Tai elder is still looking for children to adopt?"
