The only flaw that I see is the rapid progress of the story and skipping the details and interactions between the characters in a deeper sense. Yes, you are trying to change Kiyotka, but give him some deep feelings. Thank you, and I will continue to support you.

The characters feel bland and emotionless, there’s not a lot of dialogue between characters.

I honestly like this so far, new character provides with new perspective. there isn't much changes of overal story and believe you shouldn't expect it at least until later on. character is well integrated, his personality leaves with enough room for development and I'm eager to see new perspective and changes he will bring.
I really loved the idea for this work. the character dynamics are well put, logical progression but dialogues are a bit lacking. It is worrisome as you tend to skip arcs which can be justified as this is a fanfic but would love to see you. Hope you continue writing. Waiting for the updates. Great work.

not gonna lie at first i thought i was not gonna like it but as i kept reading i got more interested this is a really good shadow slave fanfic Honestly, one the top, keep it up i love this
bro just rewrote the original novel. And what the author adds on his own makes other characters inferior and stereotyped, that is, he not only rewrote the plot, but also managed to make the characters no interesting and cardboard. Kiyotaka as a character does not bring anything new to the plot, and his mystery and other aspects that readers love him for are completely gone. Although, maybe the problem is in Kiyotaka himself and his maximum is to manipulate schoolchildren.
This is the current best shadow slave fanfiction. Consider doing a shadow slave fanfiction like Minato namikaze or satorou gojo getting reincarnated instead of akoyouji
Ayanakoji into shadow slave. Unique. The evolution of Ayanakoji is interesting especially the warrior part.
Author tells the story in the form of flashbacks. He says, that something happened and recounts what happened, then an event in the present plays out, then time skip, then flashbacks, then another single thing happens, then another time skip. MFer took all the fun out of shadow slave. SS is good because of the interesting powers and the interactions the characters have, while barley surviving fighting horrors beyond human comprehension, but MC just casually can body awakened beasts and monster(which we get to read about in the form of flashbacks). MFer basically skipped the entire first arc of the forgotten shore. Like, why event WRITE starting from the nightmare and the academy if you are going to Speedrun till the castle? Just start AT the castle.
