Ivy ran up the walls of the estate's marble walls, crawling into some broken windows, and through the very stone that made up the foundation.
Shrubbery grew as it pleased everywhere, creating both a verdant greenery as well as a treacherous layout with a single misstep capable of sending one into an assortment of random spiky plants.
The ground itself, was of stone, though overgrown with roots, and little weeds peeking through the smallest openings, finding life where they could, it was solid enough to walk on evident by the servants masterfully traversing the path.
Golden flowers lay open, their stems long and almost slothful in their posture.
The tall bushes and overgrowth towered over the pathway, as if a force looming over everything, a sky that was not a sky.
One couldn't see past it.
Good evening.
I did something a little different this time, and decided to focus far more on showing rather than telling, alongside a bigger emphasis on surroundings.
Let me know what you all think!
Thank you for your support, and as always,
Enjoy!
