Chapitre 312: Unfinished Business

Seeing the quick transition in Rose's countenance, Grace nodded happily and followed her out of the study, leaving a stunned Jace staring after them.

"So this woman thinks she can escape from me under the pretext of seeing my mother off to her room, huh?"

"Not even a goodnight kiss for all the trouble I went through tonight for her. Is this how heartless women are?"

"It's not over, Grace. For this, you're going to pay triple," Jace promised himself as he set off to his room. 

He was no longer in the mood for any work but that didn't stop him from putting a call through to the people he had arranged to take care of Cory.

Since she had the mind to organize men to defy his woman whom he was still grooming so carefully for himself, wouldn't it be a waste of  resources if Cory didn't have a taste of her own well prepared dish?

Having settled that, he had a little respite on his abandoned heart.
