"Not at all," Paloma said. "He just walked into my office and warned me about the people I allowed into the president's office, then left immediately."
Roseline's hanging heart finally relaxed. "So he didn't mention anything about my dismissal?"
"Dismissal? No. What did you do to warrant that?"
"Nothing out of the ordinary. I'll explain when we see."
"That's alright, we'll talk more about this over lunch then."
Meanwhile in Jace's office, Caden was busy striking a bargain. "Brother, you'd better compensate me for this one. You know I hate that cousin of yours, yet I have to spend "God knows how long" time with her.
