Chapitre 73: Best Recruit

As I lay on the ground, feeling defeated, Leader Damien extended his hand to help me stand. I coughed, trying to catch my breath, before he started to speak.

"You know," he said, "as we were fighting, I realized something. There's something different about you compared to your father. I would even say you're stronger than him at your age. But there's something fundamentally different. I think your specialty lies in strength, not speed like your father's."

"You might be onto something," I said.

"Also, I have a proposition for you. Would you like to visit the Mafia Academy?"

I raised an eyebrow. "Why?"

"If you're going to be the next Pioneer, then it would be best if you got to know some of those people beforehand, they might be a part of your team when you go to the frontlines," he explained.

I considered his offer.

"Sure, why not?" I said and then got down from the stage to take a shower and calm down a bit after the fight.
