Adeline scowled at him.
"You're crazy." She knocked his hands off, walking back to sit down on the couch.
Caesar folded his arms, his head tilted. "Doll?" He rested himself against the door frame, watching her with intent. But that was when he noticed one of his books tossed on the bed, and this caused his brow to rise with interest. "Have you been reading my books?"
Adeline threw him a glance over her shoulder and gave a nod.
"I have. You seem to enjoy folklore a lot, specifically werewolves. Why?" she probed, genuinely curious.
Caesar didn't give a response. He didn't have anything to say and could only exhale, walking over to sit down opposite her on the sofa.
"Well?" Adeline tipped her head to the side, brows raised.
Caesar still didn't say a word but rather crossed his legs, threw his head back, and fixed his attention on the ceiling.
