Chapitre 13: Apprentice?.
Alex hurried out of the cave and dashed through the forest, noticing that night had already fallen.
"Damn... I hope that woman won't be mad at me. I can't believe I'm rushing back just to avoid upsetting a random woman I met a few days ago... But I'm not Alex from Earth anymore. I'm Alex from... wherever the heck this world is," he muttered to himself, his footsteps pounding the ground with determination.
BOOM!
He propelled himself forward, his memory guiding him swiftly back the way he came.
"He is late..." Jannese said this and sat at the head of the table with an evil glint in her eyes.
BANG!!!
"Heyyyyy!!! Hone--- AAGHGH" Ray dodged a wooden plate that flew next to his face after he entered home.
"What's wrong with you woman???!!!" He yelled out, if he was hit with that he would be injured.
"Oh it's you, Alex is very late, he told me he would be home for dinner but... it's already so late." Jannese said this and sighed.
"Hahahahahahah, calm down, he is strong for a kid, let's wait a little longer." Ray laughed and took off his coat.
"What is wrong with the job?" Jannese asked.
"Well... the crows are coming back very soon, our warrior detected an immense pack coming from the north, and the Chief has sent some of the village's best people to protect this side of the exit... I hope it's not going to be too bad." Ray said this and sighed.
The next few days would be very loud in the forest.
BANGGGG
"I AM HOME!!!" Alex rushed back to the home and opened the door.
"YOU!!!" Jannese stood up and put both of her hands on the table.
"Uhhhm... mother? I apologi ---" Alex got interrupted.
"YOUNG MAN!!! YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO DO MUCH MORE THAN JUST APOLOGIZE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET PUNISHED!!!" Jannese yelled out.
Alex smiled in embarrassment and looked back at Ray.
"Hello, father." He smiled like he was telling him to help him.
"I can't help you with this warrior, resolve it yourself." Ray smiled and looked at the food.
Alex sighed and also smiled, he remembered times when things like that happened on earth with his own family... it's just, that he had a sister and many more people.
Alex apologized and swore he would never do this again and Jannese forgave him easily, she could not hope to hold anger for Alex for too long.
They sat down at the table and everyone was laughing, smiling, eating food.
Ray was clowning around and telling good jokes that made everyone laugh and chat.
This was a peaceful scene... but Alex couldn't get a feeling of dread out of his mind... what if this was just calm before the storm?

Next Day.
"UGHHH!!!" Alex opened his eyes and stretched, he was in his room, last night they had too much fun and slept a little later than usual.
"Good morning," Alex said and stood up, he looked outside of the cracks his window covers had.
It was a nice sunny day out there.
He took his clothes and took a bath.
"Hello, mother." He greeted Jannese and smiled.
"Greetings Alex, here, food is ready or... are you going there?" Jannese asked.
"Where?" Alex scratched his head with confusion.
Jannese frowned and turned her head to the side.
"Uhm? The... choosing? you are going to become Apprentice Hunter aren't you?" She asked.
Alex made a confused face... what the fuck was Apprentice Hunter?.

Outside.
Alex was going towards one place in the village.
"So, Apprentice hunter means hunter that is apprentice... makes sense, if I get this thing, I will be able to follow the Warriors out of the village and see their hunts... like firearm license type of token..." Alex said this and rushed out to the globe looking wooden structure at the south of the village.
"Hello, Alex!!!"
"How are you champ"
"You going to Apprentice?"
Everyone greeted him along the way.
While confused about why would these people treat Alex so well, he said hello to all of them and escaped with the excuse that he needed to go there.
After a few seconds, he reached the enormous building.
"Whoa..." Alex was very surprised, he was in front of a dojo-like gate, it had a big opening, and he could see many people going in and out, there were many dummies and a big platform that had little elevation on it.
That wasn't why he was so surprised, he was surprised because of how beautiful the building looked.
This reminded him of the stadiums that had globe-like roofs, it was 300 meters in diameter and extremely well-designed.
Alex smiled and was about to go in.
"Ho? Look who is this... Great Escape..." A mocking tone came from the side of him. laughter was also heard.
Of course, Alex didn't say anything, he didn't even notice it was said to him.
Why the fuck would he turn his head when nobody said this name.
He ignored this and entered the training place.
"YOU!!!" Whoever said this got extremely angry and tried to catch Alex but he was squizzed by people going inside.
We could see his face.
He had handsome black hair, blue eyes, and an extremely distorted face.
"He ignored you Boss!!!" Some lackeys next to him stopped laughing and said this with shock.
"How dare someone like him ignore you!!!" They slammed their feet extremely hard.
"SHUT UP!!! LET GO!!!" The boss person said this and they also entered.
Inside.
Alex was looking around very surprised, there were at least 300 people here in this place, and most of them were standing in front of the platform just talking to each other.
Everyone was quizzing each other around like there wasn't any other place to stand.
With Alex's newly upgraded body, he stood there very quietly and strongly, he was like a mountain of steel that could not be moved.
"SILENCE!!!" Everyone heard a thunderous voice and they stopped chattering.
Everyone looked up.
Few people came up on the platform.
8 people came up to the platform, in the middle of it there was a strong-looking old man with white hair and green eyes, there were 6 men and one woman that stood next to him.
The old man stood up on the elevations in the platform, he put his hand on the pillar on the platform and said this.
"Annual testing for the Apprentice Hunter is going to start now, but some things have changed..." He said this making everyone gasp.
"And this one... will be a hundred times more dangerous than the other one we did last 30 years..." The old man said this making everyone's hands shake.
What was going on here?
