"Stop!"
Amidst the commanding shout, two powerful beams of light energy targeted the unprepared Clark and Carol.
The beams were neither too strong nor too weak but significant enough that even Sub-God level beings like Clark and Carol couldn't ignore them. They had no choice but to unleash their pre-gathered power to counter the incoming light energy.
Both Clark and Carol were puzzled. Did the newcomer really have the confidence to face both of them alone?
But, of course, the answer was no. The light beams were only meant to force their attacks, quickly getting obliterated under their powerful onslaughts. The remaining energy beams and sword energy collided, causing a cataclysmic explosion that formed a massive crater with a hundred-meter radius on the ground between them.
Clark and Carol, affected by the blast, found themselves pushed to the edge of the crater. They halted their attack and looked up to see a figure descending from the sky, a woman in a dark blue coat.
She was an African-American woman, quite attractive, in her thirties, with neatly coiled hair, looking spotless from head to toe.
This was the same woman who had appeared suddenly, and after forcing their attacks, she had soared into the sky with a speed far surpassing both Clark and Carol, unscathed even by the explosion's aftermath.
Once they stopped fighting, the woman descended slowly from the sky. She smiled at Carol and then spoke with barely concealed excitement, "Aunt Carol, I finally found you!"
Carol looked puzzled at the woman for a moment before her eyes lit up with uncontrollable joy. "Mischievous Lieutenant?"
Indeed, the mysterious woman was familiar to Carol!
So, this woman could be considered Carol's ally?
After witnessing her speed and Carol's actions, Clark dared not take anything lightly. With a gesture, the Resurrection Gauntlet on his back transformed into a sword in his right hand. A purple light gleamed from the Power Stone on the sword's spine, enveloping the sword with a destructive aura.
Up until now, Clark had been concealing his true power. Even against a formidable opponent like Carol, he hadn't used his weapon or the Infinity Stones' power.
But this time, facing the possibility of a two-on-one fight, even Clark had to bring out his real abilities.

Seeing Clark activate the Power Stone, the African-American woman's eyes widened, and she spoke coldly, "Clark, what's this? You've grown bolder and stronger, and now you dare point your sword at me? Are you staging a rebellion or something?"
Clark recognized her familiar tone and expression. Along with her familiar yet different appearance and the system's authentication, memories from the previous owner of his body surged in his mind.
He deactivated the purple energy on the sword, and the Power Stone calmed down. Overwhelmed with emotion, Clark exclaimed, "Auntie!"
Monica, looking at Clark, now a Sub-God level being, nodded in satisfaction.
Unable to suppress his excitement rooted in deep-seated memories, Clark rushed forward and gave her a big hug, "After all these years, I finally see a family member!"
Clark felt weird about it. The emotions should have stemmed only from inherited memories, but meeting her made him realize he had inherited some of the previous owner's emotions as well.
Patting him on the shoulder, Monica proudly said, "I never thought you, of all people, would become such a formidable force in the universe. The Li family truly has a promising future."
Clark, obviously, wouldn't reveal his soul-transcending truth and just chuckled in response.
As they separated, Monica looked at Clark playfully and joked, "Now that you're so powerful, you probably won't cry even if I flicked your little thing a hundred times, right?"
Clark's face turned several shades of red with embarrassment. Recalling such mortifying childhood incidents in public was indescribably awkward.
Had anyone else dared to speak to him like that, Clark would have responded with the Resurrection Gauntlet's power. But facing Monica, who felt like family, he couldn't bring himself to do it.
Coughing awkwardly, he said, "We're all adults now. If you keep talking like that, I might accuse you of harassment!"
"Please!" Monica scoffed. "We're family, why pretend to be so innocent?"
Clark insisted, "We're not related by blood!"
Monica's smile turned more playful, "Don't forget, since that incident in the Middle East, you've had my blood in your veins. Still saying we're not related?"
"How is that the same?"
...
Their bickering, similar to Clark's memories, was overwhelmingly one-sided, but he didn't feel depressed. Instead, there was a sense of long-lost warmth.
After a short argument confirming the woman was indeed his 'Auntie' from the past, Monica finally frowned with concern, "Clark, how did you end up fighting with Aunt Carol?"
Sighing, Clark said helplessly, "Trouble came knocking even when I was just sitting at home."
No longer facing his 'aunt', Clark's combativeness and sharp tongue resurfaced. His seemingly ordinary lament likened Carol to a disaster.
Carol, who had been watching their reunion like a family drama, rolled her eyes when the topic turned back to her, "So, I'm the uninvited troublemaker, huh?"
"Watch your words. It's not troublemaker; it's disaster," Clark corrected. "Aspiring to be trouble? Your looks don't cut it."

Monica initially thought meeting two close people would be joyful, but their bad attitudes towards each other gave her a headache.
Hearing Clark's remark about her appearance, Carol got genuinely angry. For any woman, her looks are a sensitive topic, even for someone as formidable as Captain Marvel.
Raising an eyebrow, Carol retorted, "Monica is your aunt, and I am Monica's aunt. By that logic, you should call me grandma!"
"You talk to your elders like that? Is this how the revered Chinese tradition of respecting elders taught you?"
Clark unyieldingly replied, "Family ties can get quite complicated. Two years ago, I befriended a man, and we became sworn brothers. If we go by that, should he call you grandma too?"
Before they could react, Clark added, "My brother's name is Odin Borson. He has a son, my nephew, who is 1530 years old. How old are you, ma'am?"
Carol: ...

"Alright, enough," Monica intervened, seeing their argument escalating. "Stop arguing. Clark, tell me what happened. And no personal attacks on Aunt Carol."
"Okay, no problem."
Respecting his 'aunt', Clark raised his hands in surrender and explained, "On my first venture into the universe, I acquired some valuable items and brought them back to Earth to aid its development. I was about to discuss a series of deep and insightful plans with the deputy director of S.H.I.E.L.D. regarding human survival and development when I heard someone was causing trouble at my doorstep and threatening my subordinates."
After summarizing the events, Clark pointed at Carol, "She's the one!"
Monica turned her questioning gaze towards Carol, seeking to understand the entire situation.
Carol then stated her purpose, "I heard a new powerful being had emerged in the universe, killing Ronan the Accuser and obtaining two Infinity Stones. More importantly, I heard he was from Earth and collecting special materials from the Void. I came to see who was capable of such feats."
Clark scoffed, "That's your reason for crashing my place and threatening my people?"
"Of course not!" Carol's gaze became stern as she looked at Clark, "Your actions could bring catastrophe to Earth!"
