Lucien ran as fast as his legs could carry him, driven by a rage and desperation to save his mother.

With a single slash, he cut down every monster in his path, each one disintegrating into dust in a blaze of light.

But it was too late. Amane lay motionless on the ground, her eyes empty and white. Lucien collapsed beside her, cradling her lifeless

"PLEASE, DON'T TAKE HER! TAKE ME INSTEAD!"

He screamed in frustration and pain, his voice trembling as the fear of living without his mother consumed him.

A voice echoed in his mind. 'Are you sure you want to do that?'

It was Trashman.

"Yes, I do! Please, do something!" Lucien's voice was a plea, drenched in desperation.

'... Fine then, if you want it. But you will die, Lucien.'

"I DON'T CARE! JUST DO IT!"

He screamed with every ounce of strength he had left. He would give anything, everything, to save his mother.
