Chapitre 45: Madness of Longing

"I'm here, did you miss me?" He looked at her, a subtle emotion flowing through his deep eyes, deeply touching her.

She ran up to him and embraced him tightly.

"I missed you, so much that I nearly went mad."

Her voice trembled slightly as she clung to his neck, fearing this was all just a dream.

He wrapped his arms around her slender waist. During this time apart, he too had been distracted and restless, her image constantly haunting his mind, her every smile and frown making him wish he could fly to her side and hold her tight, just like now.

After hearing from someone that a visitor had arrived in the village, Eleanor Thompson, along with Mr. Bennett, had rushed back from the fields.

Entering the yard, she saw the young master and young lady in each other's arms, a scene so beautiful it seemed like a dream.
