Chapitre 165: It Almost Went Well

Arias was rather displeased as he looked at the huge crater left by the explosion of the assassin leader’s core of magic. He kind of had an idea who was behind this, but he still wanted to interrogate at least one of the assassins just to make sure that he was right. However, it seemed like he had overdone it and none of the assassins survived. He had tried to keep their leader alive, thinking that the man should know more than the others, but the man was bolder than he thought and blew up his own core of magic.

“How is it, Arias? Did they leave any evidence?”

Farhan walked over to ask Arias, who was busy examining one of the assassins’ corpses.

“These people were professionals. There’s no evidence that can lead us to the person behind them. Good thing I infiltrated the band earlier this evening and managed to get some information. It looks like all of them were hired from the Assassin Order.”
