Chapitre 4: Elemental Monsters

Rolan went to scan the forest some more and found out that there were more monsters available to be integrated. He surmised that his storage and shapeshift skill was still able to house more monsters inside.

He went to the north where the fire salamanders were commonly found and his travel was worth it.

They lived in desert lands and the heat was scorching. They breathed fire as Rolan saw them from a distance.

As for his plan, he needed to evade such scorching breath and not get burnt. And so, he devised a plan. He immediately sneaked and hid with the use of his camouflage skill from his basilisk skill and then tried to approach one.

He then soon leaped and then stabbed the head of the fire salamander and then it wiggled to free from his sword.

Rolan in the process was flung and then he rolled to the side. His sword was stuck on the head of the fire salamander. Making him bite his lower lips.

He immediately stood up and then the fire salamander breathed fire at him. He dashed to the side and his hem was burnt to a crisp. Making him pat it away to disperse the fire.

Rolan then saw that the fire salamander was in pain and his sword did its job. It then crashed to the ground and then went weak and limped.

He immediately went to approach the poor fellow and then grabbed his sword. Twisting it in the process.

"Hmmm, the salamander was able to spit fire even with its injuries. Such tenacity." Rolan then clicked his tongue.

He immediately saw its monster soul essence and then harvested it. He then integrated it into his soul realm.

The next monster was called slime. It was mostly found in peaceful grasslands and he ventured there. The wind was brushing his cheeks and it felt cold for a moment.

He alas arrived at the place and then started hunting slimes. One slime appeared and then he was astonished that they were duplicating. Bouncing at him to attack.

With as easy as slashing them all up, he panted as he saw them duplicating one after another. But, he was able to kill them before one could duplicate some more.

With the tiring battle, he gathered their monster essence and then integrated them. Albeit tiring, he was excited.

Rolan immediately went on and went to find more monsters. By the rivers of the forest lay monsters that have electrical abilities. They were none other than Electric eels. He went to venture there and then found what he sought. The monsters were swimming in the rivers and they were hard to find.

And so, Rolan went to the rivers and then fished there. Minding that the Electric eels liked a certain bait that was their favorite food. The lizard fish.

They were effective baits for them.

And so he hunted them and then trapped two. He immediately went fishing and then waited for the Electric eel to give it a bite. And so, he waited and the time went by so fast.

The bait succeeded and it was pulled!

Ainz then went to grab the pole and pulled. Making him exert his strength with all he got. The Electric eel then went electrocuting him but it was already in mid-air. Making it crash to the ground with a such heavy and big body.

Rolan then stabbed it and then saw that it was not moving anymore. Rolan went to harvest its monster soul essence and then integrated with it.

[Electric Eels were dreadful monsters that has electrical capabilities]

The next target was the Ice turtles that reside just near his location. He then went towards their habitat just on the side of the river and then saw them playing with each other. One immediately saw Rolan and then it was alerted.

Rolan then drew his sword and then prepared for battle.

It spat water gun skill and then Rolan side-stepped on the side. Nearly getting hit.

"Oh, sheesh! This is troublesome!"

He immediately dashed towards the turtle and then slashed diagonally. The turtle used a bubble barrier and it just deflected his slash.

Boing!

His slash was not effective!

Rolan then was attacked with ice spikes that were made by the ice turtle. Launching his attack toward Rolan.

Rolan then blocked the spikes and then dashed toward the ice turtle. Slashing it afterward. This time, it did not have a bubble barrier. Thus killing it in the process.

Rolan then harvested the monster's soul essence and integrated it inside him.

Upon his reap, Rolan felt that he integrated many monsters. But he still has slots to spare. As he watched his soul realm, it still has space.

Soon after, he went to his next destination. His next monster to hunt was the Earth giant tortoise. Their habitat was located in the forest near the rivers. Rolan then arrived at the designated place and then saw one.

Rolan then drew his sword and prepared for combat. The monster then attacked with its skill Earthen stomp. Making the ground vibrate and Rolan was left out of balance.

He then stood up after its attack. Rolan then ran towards the enemy and slashed its shell. Albeit hardy, he was able to leave some scratch. The tortoise then used another skill Rumble. Making the ground shake for several seconds.

Rolan leaped and then stepped back from its area of effect. The turtle then used Earth spike and threw it toward him. Making Rolan deflect the spikes and evaded some. His sword sounded with every spike that he deflected.

The enemy then used Rising earthen rock on his foothold and Rolan was flung upwards. The enemy then used another earth spike toward him and he was having difficulty deflecting it.

Rolan then landed on the ground and was assaulted with a Rolling boulder skill of the tortoise. Making him roll to the side as he evaded it.

Rolan then dashed toward the enemy and then slashed vehemently. Not making it to use another skill. Chipping its health off. Making its life ebb away. It also has huge health points that made Rolan have a hard time.

After killing it, Rolan then harvested its monster soul essence. Integrating it into his soul realm.

The next monster was the Slaying mantis. Located inside the forest where they resided. Rolan then hunted for them.

He scanned the forest and then found after several minutes of finding tracks. They were not living in groups and so Rolan have a better chance to duel one.

He immediately saw one and then attacked it. Their blades clashed and Rolan was attacked with its Wind blade skill. Making evade in hair's breadth.

He then was attacked with its skill Flurry attack. Rolan's sword was battered with a flurry of blows and he deflected each slash. Clunking of metal resonated into the forest.

The enemy then used Footwork and Raise sensitivity and its movements became faster. Making Ainz a bit in a bind. The enemy then used a Double slash and Rolan block its attack. He immediately kicked the slaying mantis away from him.

He approached the enemy once again and then it used Pump skill. The enemy became stronger with each use of the skill. And so, Rolan didn't let it have higher strength. He attacked with his sword. Slashing it non-stop made the Slaying mantis have difficulty repelling his attacks. Rolan then made it have a hard time and he slashed until one of its arms was cut. Making its hands drop to the ground.

"A chance!"

Rolan then attacked with more fury. The monster was having difficulty blocking his attacks as it only has one arm to defend. And so Rolan slashed and successfully cut its remaining arm off and the next one was its head.

Its head soon rolled on the ground and then Rolan harvested its monster soul essence. Absorbing it and integrating it into his soul realm.
