Bus ride later
"Why did we agree to this again?" I asked the group that consisted of my friends and fellow X-Men as our survivalist trainer started taking roll call.
"The professor wanted us to get some real life survival training without the use of our powers, and since Logan's off doing who knows what, this was our second best option," Scott informed us.
"Why couldn't we just do this in the Danger Room?" Evan asked.
"Well Beast is still fixing the place up after you guys somehow got into a fight with X-23 and Jean had to blow up the place just to stop her from murdering you and Kurt," Scott said glaring at Kurt and Evan from behind his ruby quartz shades.
He also gave me a side glare since that would be the second time I blew up the place. I rolled my eyes at him in response.
"Come on guys, this could be fun," Scott said.
"Not when those guys are here," Rogue said, pointing to another group of teens who just so happened to be the Brotherhood or at least a small faction of it.
This version of the Brotherhood of Mutants included the likes of Lance Alverce, aka Avalanche, Todd Tolanaky, aka Toad, Fred Dukes, aka Blob, St. John Allerdyce, aka Pyro, James Sanders, aka Speed Demon, the speedster that Evan faced instead of Pietro, and their last member is who surprised me the most. It was Betsy Braddock, aka Psylocke.

She shouldn't be here, at least not this early. I might need to do some research on who's all in this universe so I'm not surprised anymore.
"You will not be making wallets, necktie racks, or paperweights. You will not engage in potato-sack races, water-balloon tosses, or pony rides," the coach informed everyone. "You will be taking 20-mile hikes, rappelling 200-foot cliffs...and crossing treacherous water with no more than a rope and courage."
"Do you read me?" Coach asked.
"Yes, Sergeant Hawk, sir," a few of the other students answered back.
"I said, do you read me!?" Sergeant Hawk yelled.
"Yes, Sergeant Hawk, sir!!" Everyone yelled.
"Welcome to Iron Back Survival Camp. A name you won't soon forget," Sergeant Hawk informed us. "Now, here we have a young man, Scott Sumner -"
"Summers," Scott said, correcting the sergeant.
"Whose scholastic achievements at Bayville High earned him the rank of group leader. You will be following his lead. You've got 10 minutes to stow your gear and report to the training field. Dismissed!!" Hawk said.
"Oh, I'm gonna be dead in, like, two days," Kitty complained, and I honestly have to agree with her.
Why did we have to go on this stupid trip.
"What about me? I'm a city kid," complained Evan.
"What did we ever do to deserve this?" Kurt vocalized his complaint.
"I'm going AWOL. Does anyone know how to hot-wire a school bus?" Rouge asked.
"Oh, I got you, girl," I said to Rouge.
We both started to head to the bus, but we're stopped by Scott.
"Slow down, privates. We're not washing out in front of the school," he said, making both of us roll our eyes.
"Think about it this way. Would you rather do survival training here or with Wolverine when he comes back from his mission?" Scott suggested.
We all sighed before agreeing to do the stupid survival training.
Although, I noticed someone didn't voice a complaint or anything at all this whole time. I looked around and spotted him talking to some of the other female students who were here.
'Typical,' I thought, shaking my head at Remy's antics.

Whoever decided that training camps should exist, there is a special place in hell for you.
Now, don't get me wrong. I like that I was able to gain some free stat points doing this, but I was never an activities person in my old life and now I don't believe I'll be one in this life either.
"We're almost done team, just a little further," Scott said, making the rest of us groan as we all, except him and Gambit, dropped down on the ground.
"Easy for you to say," Rogue huffed.
"Does anybody find it odd that the Brotherhood hasn't tried attacking us or anything since we started?" Evan asked.
"Hmm, that is odd. Especially since they have a new member as well," I said as I tried to recall anything about this, but I was coming up with a blank.
"HELP!!!!!!" a voice cried out.
"Did you guys hear that?" Rouge asked the group.
"HELP!!!!!!!" The same voice cried out along with some other voices.
"That sounds like Toad and the others," I said.
We followed the sounds for help until we came up to something that looked like it might've been a watering well, but it was slightly caved in. There was a small crack in there that let the sounds of the panicking Brotherhood come through.
"Are you guys ok down there?" I called out.
"Oh, it's the goodie goodies, we're saved!!!!!" Toad exclaimed in joy before the sound of a slap came through, and he said ow.
"How did you guys get stuck down there?" Scott asked them.
"That's none of your business Summers," Lance said in an annoyed tone.
"I vote we leave them," Rouge said.
"I like, totally agree," Kitty said, agreeing with her.
"Wait, you can't leave us down here!" Toad said, panicking.
"Let's just help them out so we can get done with this stupid survival training," I said, annoyed and tired with the back and forth and with today's events.
"Fine," everyone else said.
"Alright, Gambit, I want you to blow up these rocks, and Jean, I want you to use your telekinesis to clear the path," Scott commanded.

A small rescue later
"Now that we saved you, do you mind telling us how you guys got trapped under there in the first place?" Scott asked the members of the Brotherhood.
"Uh, you see what happened was uh," Toad started to say before he was hit upside the head by Pyro.
"They don't need to know anything, but we will say thank you, so thank you," Pyro said.
"Listen, X-Men and Brotherhood, Mystique and I are in danger, and we could use your assistance," Charles said telepathically to all of us.
"You guys up for a tag team?" Scott asked the Brotherhood.
"Just this once," Lance said.
