Chapitre 155: Chapter 155: Liz Wishing to Change Herself

Mrs. Camille's face remained unchanged, but she crossed her arms tightly.

"What about the psychological examination?"

The doctor sighed, looking at the little girl playing next door.

"In my assessment, your daughter is very sensible, extremely so. She clearly knows what she should and shouldn't do, her cognition is very clear..."

This statement, clear to anyone, made Mrs. Camille let out a long sigh.

"So, what's your conclusion?"

The doctor calmly said, "We've done all possible tests. Apart from medication and continued observation, I can't offer much more advice. If anything happens recently, make sure to come to the hospital for further checks."

"Understood."

Mrs. Camille immediately got up, looking at her daughter inside: "I see."

However, Mrs. Camille, while seemingly accepting the doctor's results, took all the test data and related medications, such as sedatives and other common drugs, and left.

She immediately took Bellamy to Pluto Church.

"Mom, are we going to Pluto Church?" Bellamy, sitting obediently in the back seat, looked at her mother. Under her blonde short hair, her eyes blinked, showing no sign of pain from the piercing, only a face full of anticipation, she crisply said.

"Are you going to see Father York?"

She had heard the address her mom told the driver.

Mrs. Camille in the driver's seat, stretched her hand to caress her smiling daughter. Although smiling, the guilt in her heart deepened.

"Yes, Mommy has already talked with Father York, next time we'll bring you over. Didn't you say you like Father York?"

"Uh-huh!" Bellamy nodded vigorously, recalling the imposing figure who, despite being busy, always found time to play with her.

"Because he's nice to me!!"

"Indeed..."

Mrs. Camille agreed with this, which was why she was taking Bellamy to see him.

Otherwise, even knowing some secrets, without seeing them firsthand, she was somewhat skeptical and afraid of being deceived, having heard of numerous tragedies...

Mrs. Camille felt a conflict of principles, she unconsciously turned to look out of the car window, watching the hurried passersby on the street, sighing in her heart.

She really didn't know what to do at this point, only hoping Father York could help.

If it really was as she imagined, she also trusted Father York's judgment.

At this moment, what Mrs. Camille didn't know was that Bellamy sneakily glanced at her, a determination rarely seen in children showing on her little face.

"Mom!"

"Hm?"

Mrs. Camille quickly turned back, her face instantly brightening with a smile.

"I'll be okay!" Bellamy suddenly grabbed her mom's hand, crisply said.

Mrs. Camille paused, then smiled gently, holding her daughter's hand back.

"Yes, you'll be okay."

"It will be okay! I can definitely do it! Haven't I already decided to change?"

At the intersection Mrs. Camille's car passed, a girl with a lean backpack, clean but very wrinkled hoodie connected to faded jeans, and somewhat worn shoes walked by, encouraging herself.

She walked along, muttering calmly on her face.

"You can do it! Liz Murray, you've never been a fool, on the contrary, you're smart, you can definitely change your path."

This made passersby glance at her, but Liz Murray, having argued with her friend yesterday and after a good talk with her mother lying in the grave at Nas cemetery, walked here without caring, continuously muttering until she arrived in front of a building.

"Didn't you already decide to enter another world? That's why you found Iva to secure an enrollment spot."

Liz Murray pursed her lips, staring at the tall building in front of her, but her mind recalled the priest who helped her.

Recalling her life, everyone she knew was filled with resentment, living just to survive. Only that priest showed her another kind of people exist, she longed to enter this better world, desiring this leisure.

She remembered the priest's words: "Child, if you need help, you can come to Pluto Church to find me."

Thinking of what he had done, Liz Murray vigorously rubbed her face, smoothing out the sweat caused by running here, caught her breath, and continued muttering.

"So, your chance has come, Liz Murray, you're going to study, you're going to college, change your life."

After saying the last sentence, Liz Murray took a deep breath, suppressing her nervousness, and stepped onto the stairs into the building.

The building was bustling, mostly with peers her age, but most were well-dressed, unlike her nearly worn-out clothes.

What dimmed her spirits was that these peers had adults accompanying them, while she didn't. They were all registered, whereas she still needed to be assessed, the school deciding whether she was suitable for this school.

Meaning, compared to these people, she, a homeless person living in a subway station, had an extra step to take.

Liz Murray pursed her lips, gripping the strap of her backpack, heading alone to the second floor following the signs.

Here, the crowd thinned, and at the end of the hallway, someone was registering on a computer.

Surrounded by emptiness, Liz Murray frowned, a bad premonition rising, she hurried over.

Before the staff member looked up from the computer, she glanced through the window, where the assessment was already underway.

In a classroom-like room, a person resembling a teacher held a document, smiling at a peer standing up in front of him.

"Um? You are?"

The staff member felt a shadow, looking up at Liz Murray.

Liz Murray pursed her lips, saying, "I'm Liz Murray, I had an appointment."

Hearing this, the staff member took a serious look at the girl in front of him, poorer than anyone else, then typed a few keys.

"Liz Murray, 8:30?"

The staff member looked up again at the nodding Liz Murray, saying.

"Sorry, you're half an hour late, which means it's now nine o'clock."

Liz Murray silently gripped her strap, "I'm sorry, I walked all the way here, so..."

However, the staff member interrupted her, with a very regretful tone.

"I'm very sorry, but this is the last day, you're just too late."
