Chapitre 31: Princess Astrid 4

Astrid beamed and quickly turned around to head in the direction where the border was being attacked. She felt rejuvenated with Liam's approval of her going.  

For the first time since she grew up to know her family, and siblings, especially, this was the first time Liam had given his permission to do anything. Although his refusal wouldn't have made her change her mind, she was happy nonetheless. 

"I will help him find her," she said, but he made sure he couldn't hear her. She held the oversized coat to keep it steady until she was out of sight. She didn't have to go any further as she had already felt someone stalking her. Like prey before a predator, Astrid's hair on her arms rose, and her heart started pounding like crazy.  She thought she was prepared for something like it, but it turned out that she could never be truly prepared to be kidnapped and taken away.
