"I will call you back later," she said to Ezra. Before Ezra could respond, she ended the call abruptly. "Please, can you stop here?" she asked the driver.
The taxi driver pulled over, and Yvonne handed him the fare. Stepping out of the car, she approached a woman outside the grocery store.
"Faith?"
The girl turned around and looked at Yvonne, confusion evident in her eyes. "Who are you?"
Yvonne's eyes widened in disbelief. Her sister is alive? Or is she just someone with the same name?
"It's me," Yvonne declared, her voice trembling. "Your sister."
Yvonne rushed forward and hugged her, but the lady recoiled in shock and pushed her away.
"Who are you?" She repeated it, a hint of fear creeping into her voice. "And how do you know me?"
"You don't recognize me?" she asked, realization dawning on her. "Oh, of course, you wouldn't. I've changed my face. How could I forget?"
