Yvonne's eyes widened. Even though she knew what he was insinuating, hearing it still caught her off guard.
"There is no way he will do that," she said, her voice filled with disbelief. "Are you sure about what you just said? I mean, even if he hates his wife, he won't do what you are thinking of."
Javier folded his arms as he leaned against the wall. "I can see why she got poisoned, and you don't know about it."
"What are you talking about?"
"Your daughter only has you, and if you trust people blindly, that will lead to her downfall," he explained. "The poison entered her by contact, and that man loves touching her hair all the time. You don't see what I'm getting at, do you?"
"You think he was the one who did that to my daughter?" Her voice wavered.
