The doctor eventually left Sol to his own whims after telling him, "Please, do not move from where you are. You are still in a critical state. Even if you want to, you will not be permitted to take the final exam."
Now that Sol was alone, he continued his previous train of thought. As he did, he stood up from the bed.
"As I expected, I can still use some of my abilities." He looked at his scrawny arms and shirtless upper body that resembled a pale skeleton. His ribs poked out of his stomach and his wrists were as skinny as a 10-year-old kid's.
"Most important of all, I can use a cultivation technique. This should usually be impossible after transmigrating, but I made sure to learn a cultivation technique specifically for the day when I decided to use the Curse Of Undying." He smirked slightly, sitting down on the ground.
"This way, I will be more connected to the ground, and therefore, the world around me. Ether Energy is what creates this world, and it travels more easily through physical objects. Since I'm indoors, there isn't wind to carry that Ether to me, so the floor is my next best option."
With this, he positioned himself in a lotus meditation stance.
'This cultivation technique is the one of the only ones which can be used through thought and memory alone. Even in the Origin Realm, it is a rarity.'
With a deep breath, Sol announced the name of the technique in his head, 'Blazing Sun Temperance Cultivation Technique; a beginner cultivation technique from the Origin Realm. It has two unique qualities. One is that it can only be learned through injection into the soul, and the other is that it can only be used by a being whose Ether Energy Core 1st Layer hasn't formed yet. Or in other words... this new body of mine.'
With that, Sol's body quickly began to heat up as though he was a piece of hot coal. However, he felt none of the direct burning sensation himself. Then, with an overwhelming focus, honed by Sol for hundreds of years, he entered what he liked to call the 'Zone.'
In this state of mind, many aspects of life would change in drastic ways. When it came to cultivation, it was especially useful.
At once, Sol began to see his own body in the darkness of his closed eyelids, as if he was seeing himself in a third-person perspective.
His body was outlined in a white line in the middle of the pitch-black surroundings.
As he entered this Zone, his body began to emit a very faint yellow gleam. Soon enough, he also began to witness a beautiful aura appear all around him in this dark space.
The aura resembled whips of air, and some; splashes of water. It was everchanging in color. It was limitless and free, reaching all shades of each complexion one could imagine.
This was Ether Energy, the source of all creation and destruction in all the realms.
After mere seconds, Sol's body began to draw in all of the Ether Energy like a drain pullung all the water around it.
His body was like a hurricane with a vortex in the middle. The Ether surged through Sol's meridians, revitalizing his organs, skin, bones, tendons, and muscles.
He could feel his body become stronger as it traveled, slightly increasing the size of his meridians.
Meridians were almost no different than veins, except, they carried Ether Energy instead of blood throughout the body.
There was also one more difference between the two. Veins took blood from the heart and dispersed it through the body, while meridians worked in the completely opposite fashion.
Meridians took the absorbed energy from the outside world and channeled it all into a living being's Ether Energy Core.
The Ether traveling within Sol's body currently did just that, swiftly pouring into his Ether Core like droplets of water entering a well.
'This cultivation technique is quite weak, even for this world. It's given to mere apprentices who haven't even founded the First Layer of their Ether Energy Core in the Origin Realm. Yet, it is still enough...'
Sol continued cultivating, collecting more and more Ether into his Ether Core.
'From what I understand from these new memories, as long as I can create the First Layer of my Ether Core, this exit exam will be a breeze. The First Layer is created after you break through the Third Stage of the Origin Rank, the starting rank for all humans. With this rate of cultivation, I should be able to do that in about 16 hours.'
Sol firmed his mind on this goal. With a determined mindset, he continued to cultivate nonstop through the rest of the day, into the night, all the way up until the following morning.
Whenever he broke through the First and Second Stages of the Origin Rank, he felt a substantial boost in power course through his body.
Each part of his stature was fortified and built stronger. The process involved a slight amount of pain but came with immense pleasure when finished.
Finally, as the warm orange hue of the morning sun glared through his room's foggy window and rested on his bed, Sol broke through into the Third Stage of the Origin Realm.
As he did, the amount of Ether inside of his core hardened, forming a protective layer around it.
He had done it. He had successfully created the First Layer of his Ether Core.
When he finally opened his eyes, he noticed that his entire body was drenched in sweat. There was even a pool of the good stuff all over the ground. The rest of the room looked and felt like a sauna.
The windows were all fogged up, and there was a very warm feeling that left a tingling sensation on your skin.
Sol stood up, glancing at his body once more. This time, a new figure addressed him.
No longer were his limbs skinny and his body a bag of bones. Sol was now quite muscularly developed, resembling a healthy kid.
By no means was he jacked or anything like that, but at the very least, he didn't look like a starving peasant.
At that moment, the door to his room suddenly flew open. A forceful gust of warm cool air entered the room, as an equally harsh warm whip of wind traveled outwards.
A nurse, the same one from before, stood outside of Sol's room--bewildered out of her mind as he stared at the new Sol.
She began to turn pale as if she had seen a ghost, before finally dropping straight back onto the floor.
Sol raised an eyebrow on seeing this, "She shouldn't be a nurse..."
