Chris acted meekly while the old fogies scanned him using their senses. He was well prepared for them and he wanted to be done as soon as possible. He needed to return to the Frost City as soon as possible.

Even though there was time for the Abyssal Invasion, that was what everyone saw on the outside. The preparations should have started a long time ago. It means that there should be outposts for them to launch the invasion.

Even in a magical world, logistics play an important role in warfare. Without proper logistics maintenance, it would cost dearly to the faction. Every war depends not just on the combatants but also on the ones that maintain the faction's logistics.

Unless it is a one-day war, where it can be settled with a single battle match, logistics are needed very much.
