Chapitre 47: Opening My Big Mouth

"So, you are really only 8 years old?!" Rammus laughed as I took a deep drink from the mug I was holding and then smiled after lowering it.

The mess hall was buzzing with knights and other people from the castle who weren't working or helping with preparations. It was nice. I really enjoyed the bustle and the sounds of everyone having fun, and I was reminded of what I was working for.

"I'll still drink you under the table!" I retorted, but that only made Rammus laugh harder and drain his own mug.

"Cindy, baby girl! Can you bring us another round?" Rammus called to a very pretty young woman who was working behind the bar. She rolled her eyes at Rammus's boisterous demand but couldn't hide the smile tugging at her lips.

"Sure thing, big guy, but don't get too cocky. I will be off in two hours, so try not to have too much fun without me," she chuckled as she filled fresh mugs with a deep amber liquid that caught the light like liquid gold.
