Chapitre 25: Chapter 24

`In the serene gardens of Highgarden, Margaery strolled with a furrowed brow, lost in thought. Her mind was clouded with confusion stemming from the vivid dream she had experienced the night before. She couldn't fathom the possibility of such a dream, where fantastical elements intertwined in a surreal narrative. Dragons, children of the forest from her books, and giants—all appeared before her, as tangible as the petals beneath her feet.

What terrified her the most was the enigmatic entity surrounded by millions of stars, with only a cross-shaped pupil visible, crowning a boy who seemed to be of her age. The flaming sword added another layer of complexity to the enigma. Nothing made sense to her, especially when she saw the other lords and ladies of the realm gathered around her, equally terrified and speechless.

To find some clarity, she decided to seek her grandmother's counsel and inquire about her perspective on this strange and unsettling dream.

Margaery approached the garden salon where she expected to find her grandmother. Upon arrival, she noticed Olenna engaged in tea time with Lady Beesbury. Lady Beesbury, upon seeing Margaery, rose to greet her and exchange pleasantries before taking her leave to return to Honeyholt.

Once Lady Beesbury departed, Margaery turned to Olenna and called out, "Grandmother.".

Olenna looked up from her tea with a keen eye, acknowledging Margaery's presence. "Ah, Margaery dear, come sit with me," she beckoned, patting the cushion beside her.

Margaery complied, settling herself beside her grandmother. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything important, Grandmother," she began, her voice tinged with a hint of concern.

Olenna waved off her concerns with a dismissive gesture. "Nonsense, my dear. I was just enjoying some tea and the pleasant company of Lady Beesbury. But it's always a pleasure to have you here," she replied, her tone warm and reassuring.

Margaery nodded "I had a rather unsettling dream last night, Grandmother," she confessed, her expression troubled.

For a moment, Olenna remained silent, her brow furrowed in thought. Eventually, she spoke, her voice tinged with a hint of worry, as she pondered something that troubled her as well. "Oh? Do tell me about it, child," she encouraged, leaning in attentively. However, a hint of worry flickered in her eyes, for she too had experienced a strange dream, much like her son. And the fact that none of the other heirs had encountered similar dreams heightened her concern.

Margaery took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts before recounting the details of her dream to her grandmother. "It felt so vivid, Grandmother," she began, her voice carrying a note of uncertainty. "There were dragons, something similar to Children of the Forest, giants, and an enigmatic entity surrounded by stars. It crowned a boy. And there was a flaming sword... It all felt so surreal."

Olenna listened intently as Margaery recounted the details of her unsettling dream. The mention of dragons, Children of the Forest, giants, and an enigmatic entity surrounded by stars struck a chord with Olenna. Her normally sharp eyes showed a glimmer of concern.

After Margaery finished speaking, there was a brief moment of silence as Olenna processed the information. She clasped her hands together, her expression thoughtful yet composed. "My dear Margaery," she began, her voice soft but firm. "It seems you have experienced something... extraordinary."

Margaery nodded, her gaze searching her grandmother's face for any hint of insight or understanding. "Do you think it means something, Grandmother?" she asked, her voice tinged with a mixture of curiosity and apprehension.

Olenna sighed softly, her eyes reflecting a mix of concern and contemplation. "I cannot say for certain, my dear. I believe it's not just a dream, rather a vision," she replied, choosing her words carefully. "I hope you won't speak about the vision to anybody from here."

Margaery's brows furrowed slightly, her mind grappling with the implications of her grandmother's words. "What do you think it could mean, Grandmother?" she inquired, her tone betraying a hint of urgency.

Olenna's lips formed a thin line as she considered the question. "There are many possibilities, my dear. Perhaps it is a sign of things to come. I'm not sure either," she offered, her voice tinged with a note of solemnity. "But whatever the meaning may be, remember this: you are strong and resilient, my dear Margaery. You will face whatever challenges may come with grace and determination."

Margaery nodded, her resolve strengthening at her grandmother's words of encouragement. "Thank you, Grandmother," she said softly, a sense of reassurance washing over her. "I will keep your words in mind."

Olenna smiled affectionately, a glimmer of pride in her eyes. "That's my girl," she murmured, reaching out to gently pat Margaery's hand. "Now, let us enjoy our tea and put these troubling dreams aside for the moment. We will face whatever comes together, as a family.".

Even though Margaery gave a nod of understanding, Olenna's hint of concern didn't escape Margaery's eyes. Despite being just 14, she was clever beyond her years, and she could tell that there was something else she wasn't aware of. Olenna intentionally didn't reveal that she, her son Mace, and other lords experienced the same dream, not wanting to worry Margaery. Now aware that her granddaughter is also part of something else, a grand game.

Hello, everyone. Sorry for the delay. For the last two weeks, I've been occupied with personal matters and couldn't find time to update the chapter. I believe that things will be better for the next two weeks. Anyway, I finally found the backstory for the villains that I've been trying to create. I mean, gods need enemies, so I've crafted a made-up story for it. Those who want to access more content can do so through my Patreon.
