Why? Why tonight?

All I can think of when we're walking into the club is how desperately I don't want to leave Vanessa's side. And how my suspicion of everyone has now increased exponentially. 

Why did Vanessa see one of the cartel members in someone's shadow? That in and of itself would make me want to keep Vanessa home, but now we have Matvey to worry about, too. 

I can only hope that this meeting is fast. But signing papers to transfer ownership of the club? I doubt it will be that simple. 

The one positive thing about that whole conversation in the car was realizing that Luka isn't immune to Vanessa's gift. That's a huge relief. I'm the only one. Of course I'm the only one. I don't have time to wonder more about why Vanessa is so comfortable with him, though, except to assume that he's trustworthy like I always secretly hoped.
