"Tell me how... I beg you... answer me... Ragnar..."
Sophia's voice trembled with desperation as she gently shook his lifeless body. She pressed her head against Ragnar's broad chest, now motionless and cold.
The absence of his breath, the silence of his heartbeat—it was all too much to bear. Her tears fell freely, her sorrow a raw and palpable presence in the stillness.
She clung to him, as if her love and grief alone could coax life back into his body, her sobs echoing through the empty space.
Sophia cradled Ragnar's head in her lap, the weight of his lifeless body a crushing burden on her heart.
His eyes were now closed, and his serene thin smile seemed almost out of place amidst the devastation that surrounded them.
His expression, though peaceful, only deepened the ache within her.
"No… don't go," she whispered, her voice trembling with a mixture of despair and disbelief.
