Chapitre 159: Motherly Instincts

Alonso called many times during the night until Liliana's operation was over but that wasn't the reason why Natalie couldn't sleep much.

Could I have prevented that accident? Should I have paid more attention to what was troubling her and talked with her more? Natalie couldn't shake the tormenting questions from her mind.

She dozed off for an hour missing his last call and found out through a message in the morning that Liliana was in a medically induced coma and was being transported to the hospital Natalie usually went to. She tried calling Alonso a couple of times, but he didn't answer. That's when she decided to get dressed and head to the hospital.

"Keep the rest for yourself," she said, handing money to the taxi driver.

"Thank you, Miss!" the young man grinned.
