"Ugh," Natalie groaned, remembering how much she fought with her uncle about her choice of school as she shared the story with her husband. "Those were dark times, I'm telling you. He gave me so much headache about it that I had to start attending classes behind his back. When he finally caught me, I had just returned from one of my theatre classes and tried to reverse my role by convincing him that I am studying to become a civil engineer."
Alonso's eyes and hands were occupied with the food, but the way his lips twisted up let her know that he was attentive to what she was telling him.
"Did it work?" he asked.
She took a gulp of her water then placed it on the right side of her plate with a laugh, "Nope! That day, I decided to focus more on music and less on acting since I had no talent for it."
Alonso grinned and nodded, "Looks like I owe Jack one."
She frowned, "Why?"
